Bottle 18 cl. Courtesy of Ungstrup. Pours almost pitch black with only the vaguest tint of red and a small light brown head. Some hard roast malt in the nose and a vague whisky touch. Solid body, hard roasted malt and raisins with quite some alcohol in the finish. 280710

Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin dark brown head. The aroma has notes of roasted malt, soy sauce, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, roasted malt, soy sauce, and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish.

tiny bottle, Vielen Dank, Bierkoning! Deep black colour, no head. Impressively complex aroma. Dark malts, caramel, toffee, whisky and a bit more hops than in the Black Isak. Another delicious beer from this brewery.

Lower fizz than some of their other exclusive bottles, dark brown body. Softer aroma, too, clearly helped by the aging, with smoothness of palate and complexity of flavor. Bottle from brewery.

Bottle at home. Thanks for this John. Dark dark brown (almost black) - nice brown head. Chocolate. Cocoa. Nice hoppy. Burned malts. Vineous. Fruity. Grassy. Nice wooden. Light whiskey notes. Warming alcoholic. Very smooth. Light peppery. Light citric/acid notes. Nice sharpness. Lovely.

Draught@Festival der Bierkulturen, Kolin nad Rynem: Literally black, small, but stable lacy tanned head; solid sherry-like to port-vinous and fruity nose with a leathery and sweet roast-malty background; soft, full bodied, solid bitter-sweet flavour; raisins in the solid sweet-bitter and coffeeish finish. Nice and pleasant.....

Bottle from Bierkoning. Pitch black body with thin, tan head. Nose of dark fruits, molasses and plenty of whisky. Taste of malts, licorice, whiskey and light notes of chocolate. Texture very silky and smooth. Very enjoyable. High ABV whips by without a notice.
