4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle @ home. Hazy orange to amber colour with a decent white head. Smells hops, very lovely apricots, ’solero’ icecream (dont know if thats Dutch or international), very fruity, perfectly fresh. Orgasmic smell. Tastes ’solero’ icecream, hops, fruity, bitter... Wow. This might be my favorite Molen-beer. Long lasting taste, great body, great carbo. This beer blew me away. What a nice beer.. I’ll drink this one again for sure.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20

Neat cloudy, wee white head. Firm strewed line. Estery farmhouse but mainly a light chewy piss brightness. Decent. finish of firm peppery committed Saison, brill for the ABV.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
330 ml bottle bought at The Bottle Shop in Sai Kung.
Looks: Cloudy hazy deep amber colour with lots of dirt like yeast sediments; Explosive three finger head and beige foam which lasted for 5 minutes. Excellent sticky lacing with active, quite fizzy carbonation.
Aroma: Very fragrant, sweet and refreshing grapefruit, honey, nectar, pineapple, orange, light floral, sweet malt, lime and light grass; Aroma can be smelt more than a feet away.
Taste: Nice and refreshing sweet grapefruit and pineapple, plus strong orange peel, honey, molasses, rich ale malt, strong yeast, cloves, spices, earth, hint of alcohol, strong liquorices, lime and herbal grassy hops.
Body: Mid to light, thin but slick palate.
Mouth Feel: a rich combination of grapefruit, pineapple and tropical fruit attack - grapefruit is quite dominant, bitter and freshy. Orange peel is stronger than most ales, and pineapple fits in the backgrounds nicely! Saaz’ earthiness and spicy taste also feature prominently in the mix.
Maltyness & Sweetness: very malty and rich tasting, with fitting nectar-like sweetness for a strong beer. Not cloying nor medicine at all. Almost like a barley wine!
Booze: The 8.5% abv is very well hidden, minimally tasted you won’t feel it until near the end. Cool!
Hoppiness: Very good citrusy and tropical fruit nose and taste, strong cloves, moderate earthiness and herbs in taste, and strong but subtle liquorices for a very nice, long lasting finish.
After Taste: Fairly dry. Rich sweet, spicy and pretty blissful to mouth.
Comments: This is a rich, strong, colourful brew which De Molen’s strong hoppiness adds more to a genuine tasty style. Enjoyable from start to finish. I’m glad I pick this one to enjoy a lazy weekend afternoon. Love it!

0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20
12 oz. bottle, pours an opaque dark amber with a large beige head. Aroma brings out intense fruity notes, candied sugar, and Belgian yeast. Flavour is disgustingly medicinal and cloyingly sweet - is this infected? This is absolutely revolting - completely undrinkable. Barely even worthy of my drain.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a cloudy orangey copper with huge frothy white head that laces the glass quite nicely. Aroma is citrus, floral, sweet and some farmhouse esters. Flavour is a nice sweet caramel malt mixed with sweet oranges, spicy, zesty, mild bitterness, quite a rich bready maltiness, some farmhouse esters and a bit of a warming alcohol. I’m definitely a fan.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy amberish oranhe with a bubbly, white head and an aroma of hops, citrus, syrup, malts, caramel and ripe fruits. The taste is pretty sweet in the beginning with notes of ripe fruits, flowers, toffe and herbs. The medium-lasting finish is hoppy, without being really bitter. Just a nice beer, but I tasted more spectacular ones from De Molen.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A nice beer but a bit to heavy to be refreshing. A beautiful and bright orange tinted pour with a huge bubbly yellow head. The nose has gorgeous floral hop accents with tons of funky farmhouse esters and a nice citrus punch. The flavour is heavy for a saison up front with mild bready and dough flavoured malts, light citrus zest and a bouquet of floral hops and esters. An odd farmhouse finish with a traditional saison yeast but warm and strong tasting. Overall a bit peculiar but tasty.
