4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottled. Slightly estery in aroma in addition to clean smoke. Clear mahogany colour with some sediment. Very harmonious and fun to drink. Assertively smoky but not harsh at all. Also huge rich malty profile with roasted and chocolatey flavours playing nice with the blend of beechwood and peaty smokiness. Full bodied, low to moderate carbonation. Excellent.

Black color with nice tan head. Aroma is bacon, peat, but not overwhelming, some sweet malt base, chocolate. Taste is fruity (berries), malty, then the peat kicks in, dry bunrnt wood like finish. Silky mouthfeel. A good and balanced Smoked! Well hidden ABV.

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle, 0.33l. Opaque almost black color with thin creamy light brown head that dissipates quickly. Aroma of smoke, leather, roasted malt and dark fruits. Taste starts with mild sweet but rich roasted malt and some chocolate, follows by whiskey barrel note, smoke and licorice, mouthfeel is warming and mild spicy, although alcohol is well hidden, while finish is light bitter. Full body, oily texture and lively carbonation in palate. Excellent mood amplifier...

Pours black. Smokey bonfire aroma. Some sweetness in the nose. Roasted malts. Taste: lots of bonfire smoke. Some weird sour note going one. Little sweetness. Some bitter notes. Light bodied. Would have liked the beer a bit more when it had a little more sweetness and bigger body. Ok stuff.

Blut und schweiß hat das bier wirklich aus mir getrieben bei all dem Rauch und dem Leder, die mir entgegengekommen sind. Durch die magere Perlung ist bier zudem laff und wird umso untrinkbarer.
