33cl flesje.

Very smoky aroma straight from the bottle. I expected taste to be drier, less sweet and less salty. But its taste develops through the glass, and develops really nicely. Overall - really great beer, must try!

Pours deep dark brown with a thin tan head. Nose is smoked malts and leather. Aromas are smoked malts, something like leather, chocolate, some dark fruits. Thick texture, medium/low carbonation. Not so long finish. Good experience. A stout to be drink near a chimney fire during an harsh winter evening. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a murky dark brown with a huge frothy over carbonated brown head. Aroma of peat, campfire, smoked malts, chocolate, cocoa and light espresso... Delicate and complex. Taste is peat, campfire, chocolate, bourbon, cocoa and a dirty campfire bitterness into the finish with a slight amount of alcohol... Again delicately and smoothly balanced. Great smoked stout just over carbonated out of the bottle bit once it settles and opens up its great.

Iím sure itís a case of "itís not you, itís me". Everybody else seems to have a had a good ride with this particular offering from De Molen. Me, I hated it. There was nothing remotely aromatic about the nose which was wet and moldy and strongly suggested mildew. The color and the head were so promising that I was cajoled into making my second mistake, tasting it. What I got was a watered down malt, some interesting hints of cured tobacco which vanished into a vapor of what can only be described as moldy plastic bags. It had a very unpleasant after taste. So, clearly a case of "itís not you, itís me"...Iím sure a very solidly crafted beer backed by expertise and good intentions. Just not for me.

Awesome smoked stout with strong, strong smokeyness! Hints of chocolate, but mainly wood, bacon, smoke. Very complex and strong taste. Love it!

the aroma is smokey... very smokey... like the boiler house... the taste is caramel with shades of dark fruits, toast, nuts and smoke... much smoke... sweet and, a little bit, bitter aftertaste...

Bottle picked up at The Party Source tasted at home. Pours dark brown to black in color with a large fluffy khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have some roasted malt, meaty smoke, some peat character as well, chocolate, earthy bitterness, decent but I probably wouldnít revisit this.

33cl bottle. Dark brown colour with a thin off-white head. Smoke, leather and bitter chocolate in the aroma. Oily body. The first sip is a bit too much smoked like biting leather but get more agreeable towards the finish. Overall, a good beer but a bit too smoked.

Bottiglia 33cl comprata da giangaspero e bevuta a casa. Nera con bella schiuma. Al naso torbato. In bocca anche domina sempre il torbato, sul finale esce un po di tostato. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhold
