330ml bottle. Very dark brown with ruby red highlights and almost no head. Huge peat smokey aroma, a lot like an Ardbeg Uigeadail, with some chocolate and perhaps bacon notes. The taste reflects these notes, particularly the peated whisky and bacon. Fairly light bodied for a 8.2% stout. Really quite good.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 24/03/20 Deep near-black brown body, creamy beige head. Holy smokes - one hell of a nose on it! Woody smoke, rich molasses, smoked bacon, treacle, campfire & earth. Subdued carbonation, sticky syrupy, has some roasty astringency drying things out. Big bold body, stacks of flavour here - smoked chocolate, campfire, charred meat, burnt sugar, rich brown caramel, peaty rubbery earthiness lingers on a long bitter finish. One hell of a smoked beer!

Smells like fire. Tastes like eating campfire. Back and oily. The rest of the beer is lost through the smoke.

Flesje gedeeld met familie. Diep donkerbruin bier, helder en met weinig schuim. Aroma is zeer rokerig. Ook de smaak is lekker rokerig en vol. Nasmaak is enigszins bitter.

This is a dark smoked beer. There’s no head. The taste has a hint of whiskey and caramel.

33cl bottle: Dark red brown color with no head. Distinct peat smoke nose - Ardbeg 10? Complex woody aroma with some burnt bacon notes too. This stuff is almost flat and sort of coats your mouth with a smokey and meaty BBQ sauce flavor, then there’s a mild bittersweet chocolate taste. What an experience - probably doesn’t sound like it, but it’s honestly fantastic.
