3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 skortila (4160) - Baarn, - OCT 26, 2011
@ BBF 2011. The aroma has caramel malts, some toast, grass. Hazy, brown, coloured beer with an off-white head. The taste is caramel malty sweet, and has a light hoppy bitterness, some grass and a hint of fruits there. Medium bodied. Nice.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 EdKing (937) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 23, 2012
Bottle from Kris Wines. Colour is cloudy brown. Head is enormous. In fact I have to leave it standing for several minutes. Nose is caramel, sweet malt, earthy, minerally, with some sweet straw and hay notes. Taste is lager straw and hay, then deeper ale caramel, minerally, musty and earthy top fermented notes. Really like this. Feels rustic.

In bottle from Nina’s. An excitable beer that pours a brown colour with a huge beige head. Very high carbonation. Aroma of toffee, caramel and chocolate. A lovely malty flavour upfront with a bitter finish and a foamy mouth-feel. Not bad.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Idiosynkrasie (527) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - MAR 11, 2012
330ml bottle. Clear dark amber with extremely huge and lasting frothy off-white to beige head that makes pouring almost impossible - bothersome. Aroma is bitter hop dominated, presumably caused by the huge head blocking other notes, later strawy and yeasty. Taste is dry, yeasty, even bitter, some darker malt bitter roast notes. Can’t see what makes it a "Bock". A bit weird.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 rjkreid (85) - SCOTLAND - MAR 7, 2012
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2012 Lively carbonation, has a spirit like quality on the nose. Crisp flavour helped along by the bubbles. Spicy, nutty bitterness which lasts and lasts in the mouth. Nice, although not a bock!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 OleR (3658) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 22, 2012
Sampled from a 0.33 L bottle. A huge everlasting sand-colored head, upon a foggy reddish-amber body. Nutty and toffee-ish aroma with some nice perfumey fruit esters. Light and fresh malt body, featuring nutty and bready flavors. Mild bitterness, subtle fruit tones. Very lively in the mouth. Overall, a very refreshing and easy drinkinkable ¨Bock Ale¨.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 TBone (9414) - Pori, FINLAND - FEB 4, 2012
Bottled 330ml (26/08/2011)
Hazy dark amber color, good creamy beige head. Light fruity-woody hoppy aroma, light cocoa note. Active carbonation. Light hoppy-fruity flavor, peppery, yeasty notes, a bit harsh too. This doesn’t have much to do with "bock" .. but it is Dutch "bock" anyway.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 oh6gdx (16047) - Vasa, FINLAND - FEB 4, 2012
Bottled (From bierkompass.de). Amber colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is caramel, quite crisp bready notes as well as some slight notes of spices. Flavour is caramel, toffee, some slight spices and mild sweet wooden notes. Pleasantly balanced bock. A bit rich on the carbonation, otherwise good palate.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Miksu (4012) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - FEB 2, 2012
0.33 l bottle. Slightly hazy reddish amber color. Aromas of toffee, toasted nuts and licorice. Sweet flavor with nuts, licorice and some berryish yeastiness. Some late bitterness, yeastines and pepper in finish. Fairly drinkable.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 MalcolmTucker (297) - SCOTLAND - JAN 26, 2012
Bottle. Amber with a huge white head. Spicy, fruit and mild smoke aroma. Flavour starts with sweet dark fruit before a bitter spice and smoke finish. Good stuff.
