COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer.

31/12/2010 New Year’s Eve (2008 Vintage bottle, 750ml). Pericolosamente alcolica.

Bottle. Clear dark red orangish amber with no head. Pear, apple, grape, citrus, caramel, candy, and alcohol aroma and taste with an orange cream and apple finish and a thick sticky palate. Very good with nice complexity.

Ultra smooth, but tasted and smelled like a funky tangerine/orange beer. Not my cup of tea... or beer, in this case.

Poured in a small INAO wine glass. Orange color, no foam, almost no bubbles. Date, maple syrup, fruit cake and a lot of malty and yeasty notes invade your nose! And in mouth, fantastic complexity. Like a sweet "Botrytised Barley wine" (if it existed, that would be that Bomb). Actually: caramalised prune, rhumed raisins, overriped fruit. I just love it ! Some people say it’s not a beer ! If it’s not a beer, I may not like beers ... Cheers

Beautiful red-brown transparent colour with no head and no carbonation. Rotten fruit, peaches, mandarins, with some banana, strawberries and cherries. Dried meat caramel fleshiness with strong alcoholic undertones. So, all very promising until you take the first sip - way too sweet!! All destroying sweetness!!!! I’m sure there’s all kind of nice stuff going on in there but that sweetness kills it all! Very disappointing except I’m sure it’s just that the beer was too young to drink. I bought an extra few and I’ll be re-rating in 5 or 6 years...

Perhaps the best-smelling ale I’ve had. Powerful alcohol aromas. Dates and grapiness follow. It comes off a bit sticky, but that’s I suppose to be expected at 15.2.

Bottle. Pours dark ruby with almost no head. Aroma fruits, plumes, raisins. Sweet raisiny taste as a good barley should. Full Bodied with low carbonation. Not Bad.

33cl bottle. Hazy brown colour, no head. Aroma is fruity, sweet, slightly alcoholic and moderate malty. Flavour is sweet, very sweet, with grape juice traces, vinous, alcoholic and syrup hints. In the final maintain the same sweetness as the beginning. Carbonation is soft. Body is high. Texture is oily.
