COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer.

2010 bottle. The taste is very similar to a fruity vinegarette, but without the acidity. I would say the mouthfeel is a little syrupy, but not so thick. For some reason I get a little bit of a kick in the back of my throat, no idea where that comes from. Hardly any carbonation at all, poured agressively, yet no head whatsoever. This is a great beer, and am happy to drink it to celeberate my buddy Alan’s birthday. Cheers!

Orange color with 1 finger off white head. Aroma of honey, pears, caramel, camomile, dark fruits, mandarin, passion fruit, jam, strawberries. Taste is medium sweet with fruity, candy sugary flavor. Medium body, creamy to thick texture, soft carbonation. Amazing Barley wine.

Bottle @ Rooie Dop brew dungeon. Amber colour, thin off-white head. Nose is lots of caramel malts, brown sugar, bit of fruits. Flavour is caramel malts, fruits, bit of candied sugar, dried fruits. Finish is fairly sweet. Lots of things going in this beer. Only for slow sipping.

Flaska 63, årgång 2008. Bland de första flaskorna vi köpte till ölföreningen. Smak och doft av malt, humle, sirap och honung. Rund, len med en aning krämighet i konsistensen. Fin beska.

small ivory white head that disappears quickly, no lacing. amber and gold colour. sweet smell that reminds of pear-syrup, figs and peach. very sweet taste that lingers on with some fig and peach aftertaste. the high abv is well masked, probably also provoking the sweet taste.bottle 33cl / notes from backlog

330ml bottle. Some weird aromas, vinager, but not acetic contamination. Pours golden, with short live white head, some lacing. Medium to full body, low carbonated, oily texture. Taste is fruity, honey, very sweet, balanced. Alcohol present, but seems to have a lower abv. Quite enjoyable.
