COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer.

hazy reddish-orange colour, no head at all; aroma of raspberry, yeast, some caramel and significant alcohol; tasteof caramel, fruity sweetness, notable bitterness, and spicy aftertaste; it’s amazing how perfectly the 15,2% ABV is hidden;despite the lack of carbonation, this ’beer’ is excellent

33 cl bottle from de hopduvel in Gent. Light hazzy brown body with almost no head. Strong fruity nose. No carbonation. Not my taste *

Sour aroma and the taste is both sour and sweet. Firstly taste like caramel but then sour in the end. The malty character and plenty of hops beautifully disguises the high alcohol of 15%.

Bam! The nose hits you in the face with loads of orange juice, honeydew melon and candy. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a fluffy, firm head. The flavour is a little bit crazy - yes, it’s strong, yes, it has a certain cloyingness, and yes, it’s slightly thick and soupy but bottom line it’s fresh, like fruit salad juice spiked with a fine barley wine. 15%? Really?!? This beer is a goddamn revelation. I like. I really like.

Bottle @ maison belge Barcelona. Hazy orange amber colored beer with a small white head. Nose of overripe fruits and alcohol. Sweet fruity alcoholic taste. Slightly oxydized already. Bottle is 13 months old. Sweet licorlike alcohol aftertaste.

33cl bottle. Amber/brown with small, almost not existing head. Nose : cooked fruits, tart, alcohol, dried fruits. Caramel, malaga chocolate. Sip : thick and oily. No carbonation. Sweet and smooth, caramel, chocolate and orange flavour. The alcohol is well hidden until the exhale where the booze and hop aromas are revealed. Overall it is one of the most smooth and well balanced barley wines I tried. Nice one.

Très peu amer et très épaisse. Peu de mousse et une présence alccolique non dérangeante. De nombreuses odeurs de fruits mascérés et de sucres se font ressentir en bouche. Un bon goût de malt présent.

Poured a reddish amber with a frothy, rapidly diminishing off white head. Aroma of spice and muted citrus hops with a little berry fruit. Medium to full body, flavour is sweet malt. slightly sour, vinous with a sweet, alcoholic aftertaste.
