There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer.

Bijna heldere oranjerode kleur met een matige kraag. Ruikt iets gerookt, hout, alcohol, vanille en crème. Smaakt vol, gerookt, hout, bitterzoet, vanille. Goede alcohol nasmaak, stijgt goed. Dikke structuur.

Clear copper pour with a small, oily, beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel, rum booziness, brown sugar, planty, spicy and piney hops. Flavor is soft caramel, light toffee and toast up front, then light toasted cedar wood, mellow and sweet vinous notes, toffee nuts, sweet citrus, some earthy and herbal hops. Medium to heavy body, creamy, oily and chewy feel, light, blanketing carbonation, creamy to oily finish. Great stuff overall, odd though, big, sweet, boozy nose leading to a surprisingly easy going, smooth flavor profile and palate.

Aroma is complex bread, tangy fruit/tropical fruit and a hint of sweetness. The flavor is orange/citrus, bread, berries, malts, very thick in body and a medium sweet finish.

Deep amber/orange looks beautiful. Fruity aroma of malts, sweet oranges, sweet apples, caramel, mandarin, peach. Flavour is fruity and caramel sweetness with some alcohol. Very full sticky mouthfeel, thick body. Surprisingly easily drinkable considering the alcohol content. A majectic beer.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2014 Orange amber pour with off white head. Explosive sweet tropical fruit nose. Flavor is candi sugar, apple, papaya, guava, mango, and light astringency. Weird as all hell but it works somehow. Can’t wait to try more de molen stuff!

Bottled Feb 2012 at 15.2%. Hazy dark orange / red, slightly sparkling, a small foamy white head atop. Aroma is potent - undiluted Ribena initially, tamarind?, caramel, apple juice, a touch oxidised. Body is medium, foamy, low carbonation, tacky with all the sugar. Taste is rounded caramel. Orange liquer. Sweet and fruity yet sour and earthy. Slight cider dimension. Champagne. Lovely balance to the flavours and no alcohol coming through at all. Oversweet though.

Virtually no head and minimal carbonation. Dark brown/red in color with a lot of sweet and fruity flavours. A bitter aftertaste reminiscent of a grapefruit early in the morning. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
