Since they say this is cellarable for 25 years perhaps it wouldnít be as sweet in 2039, but as it itís pretty damn sweet. Nice though and abv incredibly masked considering how strong it is. Nice beer but you better like sweetness. Yo!

33cl bottle in a Trappist glass. Pours an orangey colour with little to no head. Taste is sweet but hides the ABV astonishingly well. I have tried beers with 5% less ABV that seem more boozy. Mouthfeel is thick as would be expected and pours with a real glug. Hardly any carbonation. Almost as though it was brewed to be strong with little regard for taste or aroma. I have tried much, much better beers from this brewery.

Ginormous beer!! Pours a ruby red brown, almost thixotropic. An aroma of dark currants and sweet oranges. The taste is amazing. Fruit, malt, almost liqueur like. There must be masses of hops in here as the balance is there but on the sweet side. Huge hit of treacly booze coats the tongue. At 15% this is very drinkable. Dangerous and utterly gorgeous.

75 cl bottle (shared)
Appearance:Hazy amber color, with a very small sized head, with good retention.
Aroma: ALcohol, red fruit (Strawberies, a sweet citrus, yeast, and malts.
Taste: Sweet fruity, caramelised malts, finish is a bit more hoppy. Suprisingly the alcohol in the taste is much more hidden as the aroma.
Body is huge, syrupy texture, Low carbonation.

Pours in golden hazy orange with no head at all, looks oily at glance. Aroma is like a fruit basket, a lot of citrus type aromas up front with sweet mandarin and strawberry. Amazing. Taste is sweet with medium biterness. Body is huge, oily but easily drinkable.

Bottle 30 cl. Pours a thick off-white head. Deep dark red appearance, looks a bit like red wine. Fruity very sweet aroma with peach, alcohol, a little bit of hops, malts, sweet apple and some yeast. Very sweet taste, hints of caramel, peach, malts, sweet apple, herbs, cough syrup and some alcohol. The aftertaste is hoppy. Syrupy, very sticky texture. Itís barely a liquid. Very warming. A good beer for a cold winterís day.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
An incredible beer, sweet fruity, malty aroma, orange and spicy flavour, while the aroma flags up the 15 abv, it doesnít quite taste that strong, loads of mandarin converts the sweetness . Would have liked some carbonation .

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Amberkleurig, de kraag lijkt eerst niks te worden maar trekt nog aardig bij. Niet veel koolzuur. Ruikt moutig, zoetig maar ook wat fruitigs. Smaakt behoorlijk zoet, vaag perzik, sinaasappel. Vol mondgevoel, weinig diepte. Je proeft de alcohol niet.

Hazy amber color, moderate sized head, really good retention. Aroma is sweet jam. Pears, peaches, orange, some caramel, light hops. Full bodied, thick, syrupy, sticky, sweet. Great flavors if you like a sweet jamlike barley wine. Alcohol hidden amazingly well.
