There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer. ABV on the label reduced from 15 to 11.9%. Recipe remains the same

Clear copper pour with a small, oily, beige head. Aroma of dark fruit, caramel, rum booziness, brown sugar, planty, spicy and piney hops. Flavor is soft caramel, light toffee and toast up front, then light toasted cedar wood, mellow and sweet vinous notes, toffee nuts, sweet citrus, some earthy and herbal hops. Medium to heavy body, creamy, oily and chewy feel, light, blanketing carbonation, creamy to oily finish. Great stuff overall, odd though, big, sweet, boozy nose leading to a surprisingly easy going, smooth flavor profile and palate.

Konsystencja oleista. Alkohol delikatnie szczypie gardło dopiero po mocnym ogrzaniu. Jak dla mnie prawdziwe Bombs & Grenades

Bottle - poured with a viscous murky brown look to it. Having a light sweet aroma, the taste confirmed the almost syrup like consistancy, and confirmed the high alcohol content. In fact rather than 11.9 it tasted more like 15-16%! A very complex mixture of tastes, including a dominant orange peel like smack to the palette. You could spend ages trying to discern the lesser ingredients, there seem to be so many fighting for your atttention. Sadly its hard to taste much paste the overpowering alcohol and orange zest. Definitely a sipper, but not one that i'd order again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Have tried 2015 (11.9%) and 2013 (15.2%) version head to head. Both shared with JFK10000. 2015 - bottle from Pivoteka. Pours light cloudy orange with rocky spare off-white head. Heavy caramel malty, toasted, dried fruit, heavy sweetness, flat carbonation. Syrupy, bit too sweet for me. Medium to full bodied. 7/4/8/4/16 2013 - bottle from Roybeer. Pours red with spare off-white head. Heavy malty, caramel, toasted, some dried fruit. Still lots of sweetness, bit less than 2015 version, also some moderate bitterness. Medium bodied. Alcohol well hidden. 7/4/8/4/15

No Bommen & Granaten to piwo w stylu barley wine, o ekstrakcie 32° blg i alkoholu na poziomie 15,2%. To prawdziwe Bomby i Granaty!

Bottle. Clear, reddish/ dark amber in colour, beige head. The beer is sweet, fruity, lots of dried fruits, caramel, biscuits and some wine notes in finish. Full bodied, oily, sweet with medium bitter yet still sweetish finish. Tasty.

UPDATED: SEP 3, 2016 Muddy pale brown. Not much foam. Nice aroma and smell. Plums, rye, fruit, figs, banana. Long finish. Quite complex. Nicely integrated sweetness. High ABV is not at all in the way of flavour.

33cl bottle, served in a snifter glass. Poured a cloudy dark amber with a small half finger off white head that dissipated quickly. Loads of yeast swimming in the glass. Aroma: Oooooh! Orange juice, cotton candy, tangerine, grapes. Smells divine! Taste: Orange, grapes, cotton candy, caramel, molasses, tangerine, Cointreau, Grenadine, mango, granny smith apple, honey, pineapple, grapefruit, blood orange, strawberry, figs, dates, plums. When getting more to room temperature I’m tasting chocolate and roasted nuts. This is so mindboggling complex, it’s unbelievable... such a thick, maltysweet and fruity mouthfeel, it’s sooo sticky. It’s hard to believe I’m drinking a beer, this almost drinks like a liqueur. Massive full body with a very sweet, liqueur boozy finish. Never had anything like this before. This surely is one memorable drinking experience...Hats off to the heren of de Molen, bravo!
