There’s plenty of fruit like orange, tangerine and sweet apples. It’s powerful and full bodied but still easy going. Although the name would suggest otherwise, it’s our favourite amongst the female clientele yet also highly appreciated by the other sex. Well hopped as always, but the obvious alcohol and the massive malt and fruit character restrict the hops to the background, only to reveal itself in the finish. Full bodied, notes of champagne. Champagne mousse after pouring in the glass. Grapes and a hint of mandarin curacao in the aroma, together with a hint of vin mousseux. Malty sweet flavor, immensely full bodied, with mandarine curacao and vinous notes. Thick mouthfeel, just a touch of yeast in the aftertaste. Huge beer. ABV on the label reduced from 15 to 11.9%. Recipe remains the same

Very fruity aroma, but i can sense some hop in there :) nice amber colour, offwhite foam. Very "round" taste, mild. The taste lasted very long. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy tangerine pour with quickly fading off-white head. Nose is molasses, banana, berry, and apricot. Flavour is moderate-heavy sweet with notes of tangerine, apple, dried apricots, banana, and hints of sour in the background. Smooth mouthfeel. A little sweet for my taste but well balanced.

33cl bottle at home from Biernavigatie.nl. Nose is molasses, berries. Body is hazy rusty brown, head is very small, cream white, frothy, mostly diminishing, good lacing. Aroma is berries, strawberry, molasses, herbs, fruity. Medium to heavy sweet, light bitter, light to medium fruity sour. Finish is medium lasting fruity medium bittersweet, light sour, medium alcohol warmth. Full body, sticky texture, soft carbonation. A bit heavy, strong flavor, tasty, nice one.

Flaska från ölbutikken. Mörkt bärnstensfärgad med vitt skum. Söt tung doft med mycket kola. Mjuk i smaken med rejäl sötma och mycket kaksmak.

Deep, dark golden color, with really big pieces of yeast floating around in the beer. Rather tiny, slightly off-white head. Very sweet, malty aroma, with pleasant jam, fruity, winey, rum and sherry notes, without even touch of alcohol. Such an exquisite one. In taste also very malty, fruity, with notes of jam, unfortunately caramel and bread. And these last two ruin the impression a little bit. In the end a note of alcohol can be noticed. Awesome mouthfeel. Thick and dense as 30 plato beer should be. Carbonation on right low level. Alcohol warms your stomach. In overall it is very good beer, but I was expecting it to be much better, mind blowing almost.

Jakaś pikantność i ziołowość w posmakach. Goryczka niska do średniej, alkoholowo pestkowa. Wysycenie niskie, treściwe, gęste i lepkie w odbiorze. Alkohol mocno rozgrzewa, niby ułożony, ale nieco drażni.
Barley Wine o bardziej owocowym, estrowym profilu. Dobry, choć ja jednak wole te słodowe, karmelowe, z wyraźnym udziałem suszonych owoców w zapachu i smaku, mniej kwaskowe w odczuciu.

Powerful rich fruit aroma in a rusty brown pour. Massive sweet malt taste with fruity liquor balance. Not generally a style I like - but this would have to be an excellent example of it I suspect.

First I thougth there was something wrong with my bottle. But when I opened and tried the second one I have to asume that at least one of them was fine. A lot of alcohol and yeast in the aromas, some sweet fruits and barley in the background. Taste is horrible. Alcohol and yeast is all I can taste. Alcohol lingers througout the finish. Just an awful beer.

Super ukryty alkohol. Zacnie.
