3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Borefts 2013. Amber color. Vinous aroma, malty. Malty sweet almost sugary flavor with candied fruit and hints of bourbon and vanilla. The brett is hard to notice. Some onion and cabbage flavors. But this does suit the beer, that needs some added complexity. Pleasant.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled @ Borefts 2013. A bit unclear reddish color, no head at all. Smell malts, a slight sour touch, some sweetness and a touch of alcohol. Taste malts, sweetness, some alcohol, flowery. Weird, don’t really know what to say about it. Medium body and carbonation, a bit sticky texture.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
One of the best barley wines at the Borefts festival except for the Emelisse Buffalo trace wich was my #1 barley wine at Borefts !
Super smooth barley wine, richt, syrupy, not as sweet as the Bommen & Granaten regular wich makes this much better, the Bretts don’t really acompany a sour flavour, but i think they do a very good job on making this a smoother less sweet beer instead of the otherwise too sweet and cloyingly Barley Wines De Molen have, very nice !
