Bottled (BB 10/2007)
Dark ruby brown color, small brown head. Very fruity nose, loads of prunes, dates and brown sugar. Crisp carbonation. Prunes, toffee, some hops and even some licorice in the flavor. Some alcohol picks up in the finish. Nice sweetish dubbel. 10% version of this would be interesting - Rochefort influence is evident.

Hazy brown color, medium head. Aroma of some roasted malt, chocolat, sweetness. Probably the recipe or the brewing has evolved in time, because it was very nice balanced, no strange ingredients were overwhelming taste and aroma. I’m becoming a fan of this brewery!
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 epassa (105) - Sao Paulo, BRAZIL - MAR 1, 2007

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 jbrus (4992) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - FEB 24, 2007
Bottled. Floral and herbal aroma. Brown color, beige head, good lace. Light sweet, bitter, some licorice, herbal and a hint of vanilla, smooth. I like most of the beers of De Molen but his brewing style isn’t always compatible with the beer style. So well brewed, but strange Dubbel.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sayravai (4655) - Helsinki, FINLAND - JAN 3, 2007
(Bottled) Hazy dark ruby color with a small, beige head. Pretty mild, licoricey aroma with sweetish, smooth maltiness and some dried fruit. Burned-roasty, neutral maltiness with some ashes and sweetish-salty licorice in the flavor. Medium-bodied, very smooth and quite low-carbonated palate. Yes, there’s some Rochefort character, especially in the aroma - although it’s quite a bit milder than in the original. Overall a smooth, tasty and balanced, very nice dubbel.
