Aroma and flavour have dark fruits, roasted malts and caramel. Well executed. sayravai (3186), Helsinki, Finland Jan 3, 2007 (Bottled) Hazy dark ruby color with a small, beige head. Pretty mild, licoricey aroma with sweetish, smooth maltiness and some dried fruit. Burned-roasty, neutral maltiness with some ashes and sweetish-salty licorice in the flavor. Medium-bodied, very smooth and quite low-carbonated palate. Yes, there’s some Rochefort character, especially in the aroma - although it’s quite a bit milder than in the original. Overall a smooth, tasty and balanced, very nice dubbel. NoiZe (949), Zeist, Netherlands Mar 11, 2007 Brown colored brew. Nice roasted aroma with a bit sweetness on top. Sweet, thick taste. Malty and a bit sweet. Very enjoyable.
