Opaque black beer, bubbly tan head. Sourish fruity nose. Light airy palate, dry. Dark malt with a hint of smoke. Sour fruits and a little coca cola. A little bitter, more so in the aftertaste. Light airy finish with a trace of coffee as well. Nice but in the shadow of the original cuvee. Original rating 3.6

Opaque dark brown beer. Short lived tan head. Light crisp palate, notably so for a big dark beer. Dark sweet malt, a little fruity and tangy and with lactose sweetness. Subtle Port Wine and chocolate. Milky and fruity sweet. Coffee and cream. Lovely character and complexity.

Odense spring time specialties night at Dolle. Dark brown with a small tan head. The aroma has a lot of red wine, with fresh ground coffee and dark chocolate. Dry and extremely complex flavour with red wine, coffee, chocolate, spice, red berries... Long lasting dark chocolate and coffee aftertaste.

Bottle @ Odense Late March Tasting, 2012. Trade with Noize. Bottle nr. 63. Pours dark brown with a small creamy off white head. Nose is roast, cellar, oak, red wine and a bit of alcohol. Quite nice. Flavor is roast, red wine, oak and vague coffee. Smooth, vinous and slick. Full bodied. Nice one.

From the 750ml bottle at the January Tucson tasting. Brown super chunky pour. Belgian yeast, chocolate, roasted grain and oak aroma. Taste has spicy Belgian notes, chocolate and roasted grain. Light body with lots of sweetness.

Corked and caged 750mL bottle releases the cork easy enough but then it slowly oozed with foam for a good half hour. The resulting pours were murky with sludgy floaty sedimentation. It has a dark brown body and rocky tan head. The aroma has dusty notes, dark roasted malts, chocolate and mild tart red wine notes followed by chocolate malt balls and boozy heat. The taste is not so good as I heard someone mention and I agree. It has dusty yeasty dry notes, dark roasted malts, some chocolate and then semi tart red wine. Wow, the bottle states this 2008 vintage is good for 25 years. It fell a touch short.

Sehr gut! 9/13/12/13/11/13
