75 cl bottle at Hopheads´ fourth tasting - in my garage. Bought at Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. Very dark brown, lovely light brown head. Aroma is vinous and dark dried fruit. Flavor is vinous, oak, dark dried fruit, roasted malt and some sourness. Dry finish. Absolutely lovely!

Cask - Deep deep chestnut body with a very fine bubbled beige head; Lots of prunes, sharper malt and vinous aromas; Sweet deep malt bitter, slightly fruity vinous; Looong finish.warms at first, later it mellows out with lots of malt vinous aromas. Great beer!

Black with a lasting off-white head, leaving some lace. Roast aroma with oak at the front, backed up by licorice and chocolate notes. Smooth chocolate flavour with tannins and oak flavours, and a note of charcoal roastedness. The oak impression is really smooth fresh wood, but with a good tannin bite. Soft carbonation and a full body makes it a wonderful beer to sip

Roasted and malty aroma and slightly sourish.
Vinous flavour with wood/oak.

from cask at the brewery 2008. Nose remainds me of Goudenband and aged St Bernardus Abt. Very fruity, fresh but with hints of raisins or dried fruits. The flavour is like portwine at first but due to CO2 it is still a beer. Suddenly the impression changes completly into a rather strong and very dry beer. The hopps attack the sugar content.
The taste lingered on for more than 30 minutes. Needs some more balancing between sweetnes and dry finish but i’m impressed!

EBF2008. It’s a very dark brown beer with a red hue. The aroma has sourness and notes of roasted malt, berries and a little yeast. The flavour has a light sourness, a roasted bitterness and a light sweetness. It has notes of roasted malt, licorice, wood, berries, dark fruits, caramel and it has a very long finish, that ends rather dry. It’s very nice and complex.

From cask at EBF 08. Roasted, but good dark fruits which are a tad syrupy. Some spice on the finish. It’s a very good impy stout. Good raisiny molasses dates flavour.

Big wooden cask @ EBF 08. Pours black with a medium sized offwhite head. Quite nice and complex beer. Somewhat malty and sweet, roasted, light burned notes, winous, raisins, licorice, caramel, chocolate, dark fruits, brown sugar abd coffee.
