The first tastes are boozy, but also chocolate, bitter, licqour, little smokey, some ruby red, but the taste develops and after half a bottle (room temp, at home), it kicks in properly: wow. This is amazing. It seemed out of balance. But then it somehow seems to be together. ---Rated via Beer Buddy (iOs)

33cl bottle at home from thebeershop-online.com, bottled in November 2013. Nose is peated whiskey. Body is pitch black, no head. Aroma is whiskey, roasted malt, licorice, milk chocolate, mild coffee, red wine, raisin. Medium to heavy sweet, medium bitter, medium fruity sour. Finish is long lasting roasty medium bittersweet, medium fruity sour, medium alcohol warmth. Full body, oily sticky texture, flat carbonation. A bit heavy sweetish dessert beer, interesting, usually not really my thing but there are moments when it’s good like now.

330ml bottle. Pours pitch black with no head. Aroma of syrup, burnt malts, ash, wood, oak and vanilla. Taste is sweet, syrupy and slightly acidic with hints of wood, oak, vanilla, toffee and some off notes. Finish is sweet, syrupy and roasty with some wood, oak, vanilla and some green apples. Feels a bit off, not very drinkable.

Pours black with no head. Aroma is strong coffee, red wine, red sour, sherry, hint of smoke, brown sugar. Very vinous and fruity. Medium sweet, medium bitter, short aftertaste. Body is medium to full, palate is oily, carbonation is flat. Such odd brew.

Bottle, bottled November 2013, drank today. Pours out a pitch black, as good as headless beer. The little that is on there disappears within seconds. Aroma of loads of booze, cognac or bourbon, oaky notes, vineous touches and licorice among malts. Very rich. Flavor is intense, loads of sweet sugars going on, loads of booze and woody notes. Sweet molasses and thick licorice dominate the palate, slight roasty finish oversauced with a dense bourbon sauce. Immensly complex and strong. Thick mouthfeel, long sweet sticky aftertaste. No carbonation going on. Epic brew.
