2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Really disappointing beer. The aroma is rather nice, but subtle, but the taste is a bit sour like an old dishwashing rag. Black IPAs are not my favourites but this one was especially bad. Pick aomething else!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Smaller sized but vast and slowly changing ashy off white light beige foamy head on top of a deep dark to black colored beer with a small ruby tint through it.
Aromas of some hops, flowers, roast, chocolate and manure.
The aroma is maybe not much, but pretty nice.
Flavours of roast, chocolate, hops, hop bitters, crispy hop fruits, some coffee, some chalk, a hint of liquorice, hint of malt roast, cream, flowers and fruits like peach, raisin and some apricot.
Aftertaste is bitter, roast, some liquorice, chocolate and crispy hop tones.
Low carbo, soft creamy light silky mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller body and a creamy light oily texture.
Finally, this is a very nice BIPA from De Molen. Probably kept cool with the right temperature and served with the right temperature. It does a good job!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle from De Molen Beershop in Bodegraven. Black beer with a nice lasting beige head. Roasted chocolate aroma, caramel, cocoa, licorice, citrus and some dried fruits. Roasted chocolate flavor, soot, tar, woody, some hay. Lacking some hops to be a perfekt DIPA, but still a drinkable beer.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The head is robust, the body is black. It smells roasty, a bit hop-flowery. The taste is roasty, coffee in combination with a big hop taste, a bit coffee-sour, coffee-bitter, hoparomatic, cascade, aromatic-sour, quite nice and interesting. 13/12/12/12/11/12

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle @ home. Aroma is quite fruity, the fruitiest of the dark ipa line so far imho, while you still get a nice roast aroma. Flavour is fruity with a sour note. Too bad, roast and hop bitterness mostly gone, while the aroma was so promising.
