Hazy medium amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, sweet malt, smoke, sweet meat. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20120511]

Draft. A hazy amber beer with a lazing yellowish head. The aroma has notes of smoke and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of smoke, malt, and caramel, leading to a dry smokey finish

33 cL bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small head. Aroma is toasted sweet malty and light smoked. Sweet caramelish and mild smoked. Light bitterness. Smooth malty and mild smoked. Mellow finish. Somewhat bitter and hops fruity finish too.

Bottled at Monk’s Cafe Wallingatan. Cloudy reddish brown, mid sized head. Vinegary sour nose with pleasant beechwood smoke behind. Infected sourness dominates completely. Medium bodied with well rounded mouthfeel and spritzy carbonation. Sour finish.

Sweet and smoked aroma of bonfire and caramel.
Sweet and smoked flavour of caramel.

Draft @ CBC 2012. Pours a golden color with a white head. Has a fruity malty smoky aroma. Fruity malty smoky caramel flavor. Has a fruity malty smoky finish with hints of caramel.

Copenhagen Beer Celebration, 2012. Pours cloudy golden with a small white head. Smokey nose and flavor. Meat and a bit of wood. Medium bodied.

Hazy amber color with copper reflex; generous compact head. The aroma provides a nice mix of biscuity malts and delicate smoke. Smooth mouthfeel; maybe the carbonation is too much; it’s quite dry, with appreciated although mild biscuity malt flavor and a vein of smoke. Correct bitterness.
Interesting, balanced, different from the Bamberg smoke monsters.

Draught at CBC 2012. Clear amber/golden - white head. Smokey, high smokey, fruity, nutty, nice malty, amber malts, grainy, fruity, ok hoppy, light spicy, light yeasty.

On tap at HaandFestival 2012. A lightly unclear golden beer topped by a small, light beige head. There’s a light smokiness in the aroma, with citrus and maltyness, all rather weak. Pleasant though. The same goes for the flavor, which is sweet, lightly roasted and with some citrus and bitterness. And smoke notes. Full-bodied and semi-dry. Some bitterness, pale malts and smoked in the end. A well-hopped smoked beer isn’t the best idea in my book, and when it’s rather boring on top of that, you get a beer I won’t revisit. But at least it’s not foul in any way. 120504
