75 cl bottle at Hopheads´ fourth tasting - in my garage. Bought at Ølkonsortiet, Aalborg. Deep brown color. light brown head. Aroma is fruity with some sourness. Flavor is sweet, dark dried fruit and alcohol, that makes it a litte unbalanced.

Served at the right drinking temperature at EBF, Copenhagen 08. Russet body colour, tiny beige head. Sweet smell of malty nuttiness. Toffee in flavour with roastiness and welcoming hints of tart fruits. Smooth, vinous in the mouth. Pleasant, but in small amounts at the time (14.09.2008).

Sampled@EBF 2008. Cloudy dark amber, thin greyish head. Bready, light sweet caramellish malt aroma. Notes of unripe berries and earthy hops. Taste is sweet malty with a subtle bitterness. Some fruity tones. Medium body, soft carbonation. Dries up in the finish. A drinkable and quite unusual Dobbelbock

(On tap) Hazy dark amber golden with a rough off-white head. Very fruity nose. Quite full-bodied and a little low in carbonation. Sweetish and very fruity with a subdued bitterness. Nice and drinkable. 120908

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2008 Draught Thick amber-mango head; fully hazy brown-red beer. Bitterish, woody nose, some inke and certainly tannins. Very bitter-woody, quite severe beer, tannine extra bittering and not very noble-tasting Saaz... Dry-out effect like lambic, fully attenuated, no restsugars. Blue cheese in the aftertaste. Unusual Double Bock, not for the faint-hearted. Brewer confirmed our suspicion this one is top-fermented.

From tap. Pours hazy to murky brown with a lacing tan head. Yeasty and hoppy fruity aroma. Yeasty and hoppy with dry bitterness slowly emerging. Starts a bit on the sweet side though although that could come from the hops. Fruity and light phenolic finish. Nice and smooth yet also a bit rough.

[EBF @ Copenhagen, September 2008] Small rocky off-white head that mostly diminished. Spare display of lacework. Reddish brown cloudy color. Aroma of rye bread, toffee, sweet fruit, berries, mild chocolate, yeast and some dusty floral notes as well. Medium to full bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Heavy sweet flavor with some counter bitterness. Lingering sugary fruity berries and spicy sweet finish.

UPDATED: SEP 30, 2008 Bottle... Post RBSG ’08 O-Town/Vero Beach Throwdown Chapter 8... I got the dregs, as usual... murky, caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. Earthy, caramelly aroma and flavor. Medium to full-bodied and mildly creamy with limp Thanks to Beerlando for popping the top on this one! Crisp, dry finish.

Courtesy hopscotch. Pours a dark brown color with a small tan head that settles to a thin film. The aroma shows notes of dark fruits, spices, and caramel malts. The flavor is straight forward as well with the dark fruits, sweet caramel, spices, and a woody taste also. A medium bodied mouthfeel with a lot of carbonation. Nothing too complex here, but it is pretty decent.

[tap at EBF 2008] Weak hoppy aroma with white cranberry and peach notes. Murky reddish brown with a nice lacy head. Peaty and musty flavour with grain and spicy melanoidins. Some bitter walnut and notes of raisin, white grape, and chocolate. Medium body with moderate carbonation and a very slightly clean finish.
