2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 thewolf (8626) - Kolding, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2008
Bottle @ Aarhus, 2008.
Pours pale, clear golden. A light white film head. Aroma is a bit wet dog with a chewy malty sweetness. Not terribly pleasant. Okay mouthfeel. Flavour is pretty hoppy, lots of grassy Saaz, okay malty balance. Dry and hoppy finish. Surely not the best from De Molen.

Bright bottled at Thanet Easter Beer Fest. The Winter Gardens, Margate. A strong earthy lager with some East European dirt and noticeable hop bite. Some plastic. A typical East European lager made in Holland. Not good, but at least it has some "character".
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Hunsell (400) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 30, 2008
On tap @ brewery. Waitress told me it was ’a blond’’. Hazy yellow beer with a nice white head. Smells yeasty, a little dusty, sweet yeasty taste, a little bit like a white as well. Did not discover the amount of hops that should be in a Bohemian Pilsener. Nice beer, but a little bit boring.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 08. Hazy copper colour with bubbly off white head. Some yeast, some herby hop on aroma. Some Dutch sweet malt. Then a good muddy earthy hop finish. Pretty decent earthy strong bitter. Good hop. It’s surprisingly good

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Planet Thanet 2008. Hazy golden brown with a thin white film. Lovely sugary malt and some nice fruity and dusty hops. Pleasing bitter finish with some bready notes. Drinks well below its strength. Another jolly good beer from De Molen.

smells of horse stables and over ripe fruit. No head with a strong citrus pressence. Ultra smooth

Draught @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. Clear medium to dark yellow color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, grain, light to moderate hoppy, grass, dusty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (A bit land / kellerbier alike) (220208)
