Well, this beer is categorized as Bohemian Pilsener, OK, I would never mark in blind test this beer as Bohemian Pilsener. Bottle came from Bierzwerg. Cloudy golden color with huge frothy white head. Aroma of flowers, grapefruit, maybe coriander. Taste, some sourness, yeast, malt, fruit. Nice grapefruit bitter finish. Excellent.

Currently drinking while typing. Good aroma in this beer as with the other De Molens I have tried. Malts and tangy hops dominate the aroma along with hints of Lemon and Lime in there too. Poured with a lovely course tight white head that sits on top of a glowing golden orange haze, the head slowly fizzled away to a thin coating. Great flavours in this too, with large malts and big tangy hops that have a lovely bitterness that creates a good bite to the beer. Spruce and grassiness too along with gentle dusty shelf flavours too, leaves with a gentle bitterness on the aftertaste with a prominent hopiness in the mouth. Great feel in the mouth with lovely carbonation which help it feel full and right for the style, nice head which feels nice too! Another great brew from De Molen, my love for their beers is growing more and more with each one. Definately worth buying!

Nice white lasting foam. Spicy grassy aroma (Saaz). Big body with much malt taste. Spicy with a big bitterness for a lager.

First tick as a married man. Bottle from Alexander Wines, Coventry, 6.2%. Clear orange-gold beading steadily under a thin white top. Aroma an intensely lovely waft of fresh, herbaceous hop, mandarins set in jelly, pollen and resinous pine. Clean as the aroma suggests with a substantial, drying, pilsener-like bitterness rounded with apricot and cream notes, oily hop, chick pea, lasting floral and marmalade-like impressions. Like a blend of a biting, stripped-back north German pilsener with a flowery, botanical Belgian blond or saison. Flowery but not shy on the bitterness front; if anything, slightly enamel-stripping. Full and well-carbonated but not fizzy. Nothing fancy. Possibly the tastiest De Molen I’ve tried: a lip smacker.

I like the colour on this one. A bit of citrus/orange/grape in the smell and taste. Good mouthfeel.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 tomer (973) - Rishon Le Zion, ISRAEL - AUG 4, 2009
Draught at the brewpub, Long lasting small creamy head with small bubbles, a bit hazy dark orange colour, aroma of grapefruit with some roses, candies fruit and a touch of leather, flavours of white fruit and buiscity malt and a touch of hay, acompanies by a strong bitter backbone, medium to big body. mellow bitter aftertastewhich lingers wonderfully in your mouth. This is a bohemian pilsener but certainly not an ordinary one.
