Bott 74cl @ brasserie420 Gushing bottle, foamy, pale orange. Yeast aromas, that leave place to some fruitiness Nice caramel and hop blended flavor, some fruit but you could taste the yeast. Nicely bodied.

Surprising take on the Pilsener style, an orange blonde, hazy example with medium thick, relatively loose, white head. Very floral and even citrussy hoppy in the nose, sweet caramelly malts, spicy notes, breadiness, subtle hints of peach and banana. Sweet and fruity onset especially for a lager, medium carbo, caramelly and slick, with a long and complex, perfumey hoppiness in the finish, pine resin, flowers and citrus abounding. If this is really a Pilsener, then it is the best, or at least the most original one I had so far, but it didn’t feel like one to me. Still: nice, pretty complex for the style and very enjoyable.

330ml Bottle from Beers of Europe website (£2.29):
Fresh & lively initially with citrus & lemon plus subtle hops & spice. Freshly cut grass, floral notes & a touch of tart follow.
Golden amber with a thumb-sized, foamy white head & light lacing on the sides of the glass. Retention is good with only a slight reduction in size over the opening minutes.
Citrus with light tart & sourness from the nose. Fruity with some bitterness & grapefruit plus a few lager malts. There’s solid floral flavours from the nose too that add to the bitterness & fresh, grassy hops round things off.
Smooth with fine, medium strength carbonation & bitter finish. Easy to drink with a good balance, clean mouthfeel & a subtly dry finish.

A pretty good beer from de Molen, a nice twist on a Czech pilsner with more of a floral & lightly hopped taste. The beer wasn’t a stand out offering from the brewery but was definitely well worth trying.

Bottled on 11/04/13. Caramel and grass aroma, pours a good deep gold colour. Sherry notes and grapes on the tongue, thick and semi sweet, with a long chewy finish. Hops seem to be fairly well masked, not very pilsner-esque.

33cl bottle Appearance: hazy golden orange, with a steady but bubly of white head, leaves some lacing. Aroma: flowery hops,. cookies and a bit of bread Taste: Mildsweet start, grass, some caramel and hops before it finishes Aftertaste is caramel with a moderate bitterness to it. Not really a Pilsner more off a bitter for me.

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy with airy but plentiful off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, flowers, and subtle notes of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with notes of citrus and touches of needles. Bitter aftertaste, with fruity touches. Decent.
