COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with brown malts, an English traditional specialty malt, we created an Imperial Russian Stout that has won prizes at festivals across Europe from Sweden to Italy. It’s big, black, roasted and complex. We are convinced that not trying this ale will be a mortal sin to your taste buds and beer experience. Oak chips have been put in 40 year old cognac and then added to the beer.

After the beer was served in the glass there was found a lasting quantity not wall adhesive light brown foam collar which was fine and evenly of structure. The beer also contained no carbonic acid in the glass. The beer has a thick black color and a suger sweet taste. The after tast of the beer is hoppybitter with a roasted malty touch. This beer smells droplly.

Appearance: A dark black redish beer. An off-white head with no lacing and good curtains.
Palate: No carbonation, a soft texture. A big body with a good dry finish.
Overall: Strong black presence, coffee, figs, and rather bitter.
Note: Bottle 330 ml at The Flying Elk. Reviewed 2013-05-01.

Bottle @ Elfo’s Pub, Perugia, Italy. Aroma has coffee and smoke. Pours with almost no foam. Color is dark, very dark. Taste is bitter, but not as bitter as you could expect for a 11% beer. Lighter body than expected. Very soft carbonation.

Würzig malziger Antrunk, bei dem es an Karbonisierung mangelt. Erdig, Kaffee, schokoladig, dunkler werdend. Weich malzig, intensiv, dunkle weiche Schokolade, sehr harmonisch. Vanille Nuancen im Abgang. /12/12/11/12/11

Bottle @Linköping Beer Expo 2013. Aroma tangy, astringent, yet still fresh. Notes of tobacco ashes. Viscous and carbonated mouthfeel. Taste is burnt, coffee with long burnt finish

Growler. Copa Globo. Poderosa y deliciosa!! Growler. Snifter glass. Enjoyed on feb´13. Deep amber color. Beige foamy crown shows fairly good retention. Amazing aroma profile: roasted malts & burnt caramel, hints of licorice, anise & fennel, subtle coffee & ripe figs, as well as floral notes. Fresh warming alcohol & sweet sensation at first sip followed by dry & clean bitterness. Full body. Soft carbonation. Oily texture. Long bitter/sweet finish & brandy hues on the aftertaste. Mighty & delightful!!

33 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 14.11.2009
Aroma has cocoa, some semi‐dark chocolate and coffee notes. Also hints of oak. Flavour has oaky notes, some stinging cognac, coffee notes and dark chocolate. No CO2 at all, which makes this a bit flat.

Pours very very dark with little to no foam. Funky salty/smokey/burnt smell that you either love or hate. Bitter taste of heavily roasted malts. Buttery texture, yet still frail body, almost zero carbon. Bitter and dry finish, long lasting but not very pleasant. Would not have thought this to be an 11% beer. I can imagine why people like this stout, but it’s just not my thing. It’s great for a few sips, but hard to finish a bottle.

Birra che sembra affumicata, con note di castagna anche se in teoria non centra nulla. Piů amara di altre birre simili
