Pours a hazed dull orange. Head starts firm, ends thin..slightly off white. nose has soapy-like hop aromas with underlying mango and nectarine fruitiness. Flavors have somewhat earthy but celery-like hops with a light biscuity, cracker malt backing. Body is medium to light..slightly watery feeling...water chestnuts, man. I don’t know..its fairly thin, but i still dig the earthy hops and biscuity, cracker-like malts..it’s somewhat relaxing.

It’s always nice to find a good relatively low abv English-style beer. Since I’ve never gone to England looking for good beer, I’m never quite sure if my reviews are wildly inflated. That said, I enjoy this offering from De Molen quite a bit. It has a great aroma full of biscuity malt and citrus dominant hops. There are also some nice notes of pineapple and caramel. It’s mildly (and pleasantly) sweet with a healthy but gentle bitter finish. My favorite part is that the beer is very flavorful and full-bodied for the abv. It has the flavor of a much bigger beer without any heavy sweetness or booze. It’s an easy beer to drink, though, of course, much too expensive to be consumed in quantity around here.

11.2 oz bottle. Lightly fogged honey brown with a spongy white head. Yeasty nose with marjoram and hay. Sudsy medium light with a bite getting a bit chalky. Taste is kind of a dull orange and muted pine. At 4.4% this would make a fine session brew but maybe not so memorable. Odd, interesting experiment atypical of my usual De Molen experience.

Bottle: Pours a clear deep golden with a stringy froth of white head. Has a floral grassy hoppy nose with just a hint of pale malts. Starts with average fullness for the style with a light pale malty sweetness and some grassy hop notes before a drier, bitter thinner finish. Pretty smooth and drinkable with a good hop note, but could use a little more toast and body in the malt profile.

11.2 ounce bottle, shared with RJ. Hazy golden color, small white head. Aroma of lemon peel. Flavor had citrus/grapefruit early, then white pepper. light body, metallic finish. Interesting.

GAManiac (1905) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 23, 2010
Pours a slightly hazy golden with a smallish soapy head that recedes to a solid collar, leaving spotty lacing on the way down. The aroma is sweet bready malts and grassy hops. Hints of lemon zest and extremely fresh smelling, if that makes sense. The taste is crisp and light with clean biscuity malts, lemons and a touch of grass. The mouthfeel is light bodied with lots of carbonation and massively drinkable. Crisp, dry and almost effervescent. This is a solid bitter that is pretty light on flavor but still very, very sessionable.

Bottle. Beejay says "Your drunk and crazy" haha! I kind of wanted that crazy flying barrel man on my label. I suppose in America we get the De Molen white and black printer labels though =p. But, cheers on the De Molen printed bottlecaps Menno! They look great! Pours a orange peach color with a small fizzy white head. This stuff is super sessionable! Very thin bodied, spritzy carbonation, water-like, very refreshing. Some herbal grassy hop notes in both the aroma and flavor with just a very light biscuit sweetness. Super dry, touch of pepper. Not sure I’m getting all 32 IBU’s though. Would love to try this summer treat on cask!

Large white head, good retention and decent lacing. Clear pale gold color. Nose is limes, grain with a light doughyness. Light bodied, gentle carbonation, lightly tart. Simple grainy flavors, light hop spiceyness, light fruitiness and a hint of oxydation. Dry, mineraly finish. Batch 695, Bottle from statelineliquors.

very light yellow pour with a pure white head. Aroma is bubblegum, rotten grain, and a bit of lime. Flavor is more bubblegum, plastic, plastic, plastic, staleness. Finish is bland, stale, and I pick up way too much homebrew style gross in this for me to want to finish my 2 ounce sample. This might have been good when bottled, but now it’s not worth your time.
