3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 wyzzywyz22 (1474) - Wirral, Merseyside, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2011
Bottle from De Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Hazy golden pour with a restrained off white head. Some grassy hops, sweet malt and citrus present in the nose. Flavour was a liitle earthy with similar qualities to the nose and a hint of spice. Dryish bitter finish. For the strength its a decent and fairly flavoursome brew, if a tad unremarkable.
3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 AshtonMcCobb (779) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 15, 2011
33cl bottle @ Brauhaus, Edinburgh. Pours amber with some head. The nose has some sort of mountain herbaceous thing going on - reminds me of Jagermeister. The taste is tangy and herby. A fairly balanced palate - medium weight with a fairly clean finish. Overall, solid!
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 DruncanVeasey (4800) - NUNEATON, Conference North, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - NOV 15, 2011
Bottle from Alexandra Wines, Coventry. Clean brassy pour before the bits go in, with a slim white foam lacing intricately. Enigmatic, peppery, highly Belgian aroma unleashing a right lungful of botanical spice and wine gummy hop. Fine tasting brew with a hugely drinkable tangle of soapy hop, powdered coriander/maybe ginger and husky, slightly smoked malt flavours. Dry finish with a hint of peat. De Molen on form.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 OleR (3510) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 13, 2011
Sampled from 0.33L bottle. Slightly hazed gold colored body, under a layer of tiny white bubbles. Discreet hop aroma of grass, flowers and yellow fruits. Also some crisp pale malts. Suitable light in body. Dryish pale malts in a balanced mix with fresh floral and fruity hops. Short, dry and light hoppy ending. A pretty nice session-beer, and a fine interpretation of a Bitter.
