Ungstrup (11136), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 11, 2007 Cask at GBBF 2006. An unclear orange beer with no head. The aroma is very American with notes of grapefruit reminisence of Cascade. The flavor is a bit watery with notes of fruit - especially oranges as well as light notes of malt leading to a slightly acidic bitter end. oh6gdx (5903), Vaasa, Finland Aug 28, 2007 Cask@GBBF2007. Hazy golden colour, small white head. Aroma is really fruity and hoppy along with caramel. Flavour is honey, fruits, some slight papery nose and really caramelly. A very nicely balanced thing. duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Sep 1, 2006 Cask@GBBF 06. Quite a hoppy Dutch ale, with some typical yeastyness, and slight estery fruit. Light touches of citrus (more specifically grapefruit), towards the end, lightly bitter, quite nice. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Oct 3, 2007 Remarkably extracted honeyed malt flavours. Pour is medium amber, murky and topped bu a massive white foam. Fresh citrusy hops blend into nectar while grassy and brown sugar notes are unveiled and developed in the second half of the palate. A very successful brew. Delicious sweetish, yet balanced palate. Different than what the English are doing, but better than most. harrisoni (5129), Ashford, Kent, England Jul 25, 2006 Cask gravity at Kent BF 2006. First beer of the Saturday session (3rd session for me). I had been waiting for this to come on for 2 days. Hazy amber colour with off white head. Yeasty, strong hop and grapefruit aroma. Bit earthy in mouth. Not a bad first attempt. Mouthfeel is just a little wrong.
