COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This imperial stout was oak aged on wooden barrels with cherries and Brettanomyces yeast. You can imagine the complexity of this beer.

Sampled at Copenhagen Beer Festival 2011. Pours a hazy and dark brown beer with a beige head. The aroma is malt, acidity, tart, fruit, cherries and brett. The flavor follows the nose with additional roasted notes and chocolate. The palate is roasted with sweetness. Overall a good and complex beer.

Very dark purple beer, pretty cloudy. Practically no head, brown small layer of bubbles. Aroma: chocolate, red berries, apple skin, citrus, mocha. MF: no carbon, full body. Taste: dark chocolate, sour berries, bit fruity, mocha, tobacco. Aftertaste: sour, coffee bitter (very penetrant), very bitter roastedness.

Draught, KØ11. Slightly funky aroma. Black colour. Small light brown head. The flavour is quite roasted, has a little hoppy grass notes in the finish. Creamy mouthfeel. The finish is alcoholic and hoppy, a bit rough.

Pours dark with a tan head. Aroma is cherries, chocolate and hints of coffee. Flavor is tart cherries, chocolate and a bit of coffee. Full bodied with little to no carbonation.

On tap at the beer festival in Copenhagen 2011. Dark body, minimal tan coloured head. Tartness of berries and sweetness of malts to the nose. Nice fusion of cherries and spiced malts in flavour. Wooden dry. Roasted bitterness on the swallow. Harmonious (27.05.2011).

Draught@CPH BF 2011. Pitch black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is roasted malts, alcohol, some liquorice and mild dry and tart notes. Flavour is being quite similar with some cherry. Semi sour. Quite smooth and pleasant.

Sampler at CBF 2011-05-26. Black with a creamy, brown head leaving excellent lacing. Roasted aroma with cherries and coffee present. Roasted flavor base, acidic and sweet with chocolate, berries and coffee notes. Full bodied and oily.

Fad: Kulsort øl med et fint skumhoved. Duften er dejlig af sure kirsebær og brett. Stalden giver kirsebærrene god opbakning. Desværre er øllen lidt for domineret af alkohol hvilket trækker den ned fra verdensklasse.
