Rating #1749 - 2015.06.14 - Bottle from CBI Pour is pretty standard, hazy golden orange with a bubbly white head. Aroma is almost tropical, getting more mango tangerine type citrus sweetness. Mouthfeel is crisp, medium-heavy alcohol character, medium carbonation. Taste is crisp but a bit of a mess for a tripel.Tropical notes present on the palate as well, but just a little all over the place for me.

Cloudy amber, thick white head and lots of tiny, suspended sediments. Hoppy aroma, herbal and yeasty. Sweetish flavour, fruity hops, caramel and and spice. Alcohol is evident but well balanced. Good.

330mL bottle from International Beer Collector. BB 03-07-2018 Thick looking pale copper body, small dense white head. Punchy nose to it - rich pale caramels, peppery phenols, ripe pear & apricot esters, Body is quite thick, shows its strength, subdued carbonation. Potent palate to it - sweet honeyed, pale toffee malts, biscuity malts, peppery, woody spice, ripe fruits - pears, apples, touch of bruised banana even. Bitterness quite high lingers with some warmth. A reasonable Tripel, touch rough around the edges.

33cl bottle at home. Pours a hazy dark amber colour with some yeast flakes floating around. Small off-white head which leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma of caramel, malts, slight yeast, candy sugar, coriander, bit of liquorice. Taste is fairly sweet, not very bitter. Fruity and sweet finish. Notes of apple, citrus, bit of peach, coriander, candy sugar, caramel, malts, boozy and a bit of yeast in the aftertaste. Texture is sticky with soft carbonation.
