SoLan (1188), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 20, 2008 Courtesy bierkoning. Hazy gold. Large, fluffy, white head. Aroma is floral, fruity, grainy. Flavor is similar, but a lot more grainy. Like chewing a handful of fresh grains, kind of weird. Medium body, high carbonation. Strange brew.
JMFG (1202), Florida, USA May 6, 2008 Courtesy SoLan. Hazy straw color with a very slight tint of brown. Thick white head settles down to a thin even layer. Grainy aroma that reminds me of sweetened puffed wheat cereal (e.g. Honey Smacks). Corny oat/grain taste, a tad of funk, some sweetness that lingers on to the finish. An odd brew that doesn’t really have any stand-out nuances. Maria (4761), Thisted, Denmark Mar 2, 2008 Thank you Bierkoning. Straw and hazy like a wheat beer and the head is nice and lasting. The aroma is ½ barnyard and ½ citrus mixed with yeast. The flavour is strange, but not really unpleasant. The body is light with notes of pomelo, lime and other citrus fruits, yeast, sourness and the finish is somewhat tart. I’m sorry to say, this isn’t my kind of beer. thewolf (4152), Kolding, Denmark Dec 22, 2007 Bottle. [thank you, Skortila!]
Pours a pale hazy yellow with a big frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, with lemons, melons, grapefruit, oranges and yeast dominating. A little thin. Flavour is light tart with a clear citrusy note. Finish is yeasty and with a slight indication of hops. Okay beer. KnutAlbert (2466), Oslo, Norway Dec 18, 2007 Bottle at chris-o’s
Very aromatic, Beligan style yeasty sourness. A good excample of the Belgian blond style, while not outstanding.
