Hunsell (398), Amsterdam, Netherlands Mar 30, 2008 On tap @ brewery. I was told this is a smoked stout. Dark brown coloured beer with a nice beige head. Aroma gives away malts, not really roasted, faint caramel. Very nice taste, very subtle smoked taste, sweet malts and a nice lingering roasted bitterness to finish. Very lovely beer, considering its abv, very well drinkable yet complex at the same time. fonefan (4871), Ulfborg, Denmark Apr 3, 2008 Draught @ Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands. Unclear light to medium red brown color with a large, creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, chocolate, notes of licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy - oily, carbonation is soft. Flavour has roasted malts and coffee. Smooth beer with a dry finish. Very well executed. DSG (867), Yuvalim, Israel Apr 1, 2008 (3/15/08) Draught sample at Brouwerij de Molen in Bodegraven. This one is a Porter aged with oak chips. Dark brown color with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with notes of coffee. Sweetish roasty flavor, with acidic hints, and some hints of wood as well. Medium-bodied. A good Porter. oh6gdx (6339), Vaasa, Finland Jul 29, 2008 Bottled. Flavour is roasted malts, sour coffee as well as salted licorice and mild notes of caramel malts. Good porter.
