2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Hazy dark brown body with a red hue. A huge head forms way too easily (yep, it’s a de Molen beer alright!), it’s light-brown, creamy, very long-lived and it laces the glass well. The aroma is quite strong and quite boring. It’s roasted with coffee, light yeasty notes and dust, and some faint over-ripe fruits far in the back. Very light sweet taste with a moderate to light but sharp herbal bitter finish. A dryness sets in from the very start, and it ends unusually dry. The flavours are not very strong, again roasted notes, coffee and yeast. Light body, too lively carbonated and too dry. A bit too simple and uninspired porter.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Huge brown head, far bigger than the body. Clear deep dark red body with strong carbonation. Earthy caramelly aroma with spicy notes. Dryish roasted sugar and caramel taste with spicy syrup and rye crisp bread notes. Mid-bodied. Mild mouthfeel. Dry spicy cinnamon and rye crisp bread aftertaste with chocolate and syrup notes. Nice, powerful, and interesting, especially for such a weak beer. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ottima porter.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This is on the dry, chalky side of porters. Grainy thin mouthfeel, roasted hay. Overall, not really what I’m looking for in this style but still quite nice, worth drinking slowly and feeling it warm up, gets better as she grows.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Black. Clear. Nose is very roasty. Salty licorice, some espresso, but overall very intensive and roasted. Body is flavourful, but a bit thin. Roasted malts, salty licorice. But a bit hard and thin. Loads of black, saltyness, but a bit of a harsh body.
