This beer, although not being my style, still scored quite good. Good taste and smell. Mouthfeel didn’t work out for me.

Jag skulle kalla det här för en engelsk syrlig porter. Lite bränd, lätt kropp med chokladkaraktär.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from the De Molen Shop, shared with Slothez. Deep dark brown pour with a generous creamy tan head. Some vagueish roasted coffee and malts, plus dark chocolate in the nose. Similar taste with some dark fruits evident. A little tartness, then dried out towards the finish. Not bad, if a bit underwhelming.
A nod towards the communists perhaps ?

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating #511, bottle from Fish N’ Beer
I shared this with a friend during a barbecue evening, and what a nice match to the red and smoked steaks! The beer starts out with a perfect appearance. An opaque and brown liquid with a high, lasting head and yeast floating around in the glass. A 5 for sure in my book. Aroma has more flowery aroma hops than I expected, and a good bunch of spicy hops too. In some way this porter is untraditional as it seems to have even orange-like aromas, but on the other hand this is what I would call a real, classic porter by having strong marks of coffee, chocolate and alcohol. Flavour starts out with spicy hops and chocolate, before turning more alcoholic and marked by bitter hops. The finish is quite bitter hopped too, and it also might be a bit too alcoholic for someone. Especially compared to the actual ABV of this beer (5,1 %) the alcohol seems very strong, and I would have guessed it to contain around 8%. Even so, this is in my opinion a very good brew - a real man porter. Palate is soft and has medium thickness. More De Molen for me, please!

Clear deep red with a light brown head. Toasted, caramel sauce and tobacco on the nose. Acidic flavor. Medium body, dry. Carbonated more than enough.
