Mooie chocoladebruine kleur met een goede crčme kraag. Ruikt chocolade, mout, gebrand en iets alcohol. Volle smaak van vanillie, gebrand, chocolade, fruit. Iets alcohol en bittere nasmaak.

Bottle at Bishops Arms Savoy. Interesting on the nose with licorice and chocolate, the taste is rather short with a initial punch of chocolate. The bottle i had was 4 years old which might of impacted the longevity of the aftertaste.

330ml bottle from Cimmeria, Oviedo. @home 06-04-2014.
Bottled: 14/10/13.
In short: a sour porter.
Pours very dark with little tan head, quick vanishing. Poor lacing. Roasty, caramel, sour, spicy aromas. Medium body, soft carbonation ,oily texture. Taste follows the nose, some subtle sour notes detected, roasty, spicy, some liquor flavours. Enjoyable.

jamestulloch (1446) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 22, 2014
Bottle from The Beerhive. Dark brown body with no head or lacing. Aroma of nuts, weak coffee and a smokey hint. Flavour reminds me of Ferrero Rocher chocolate. Faint spices on the finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Very light carbonation. This is like a cross between between a Porter and a Bitter. This bottle was 5.2% ABV.

Bottle from Fyne Wines, Argyll. Still; Rich brown with reddish hues. Aromas of rich yeast extracts (marmite, bovril) and sweet caramel malt. Impression of salinity initially, which fades only to return in waves interspersed with notes of praline, burnt caramel, sweet malts and rye bread; slight oily venison gaminess provides an intriguing finish. Very light bodied and clean for such a dark beer; Would go nicely with a plate of charcuterie.

13 plato, 5,2 alk, 35 IBU Skład:woda, słód (monachijski, czekoladowy, brązowy ora owsiany), chmiel (east kent golding), drożdże. Barwa: ciemna nieprzerzysta. Piana piała drobna, szybko opadająca, nie pozostająca. Aromat: melanoidyny z czekoladą, bez fajerwerków. Smak: j.w.

henkjanwiegers (120) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 12, 2014
Dark brown beer with a brown head. Smells of rye, malts and autumn leaves. Tastes like a light stout. Wait, more like a medium stout. Wow, the taste gets heavier when swallowing. A littlebit soury, creamy, quite dry finish. Some sweet and cacao, and deep, roasted malts. Would go along great with a warm hearth. Unbelievable that this has only 5.2% ABV.
