3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
"Hoppier than expected, dry finish, burnt malts...definitely an interesting beer that I likely wouldn’t have pegged easily as a porter. Brown in color, but after that it defies style a bit. I like it for being unique, but likely a one timer."

Bottle. Murky dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, yeast, and caramel. The flavour is caramel, bitter chocolate, and some light hoppy notes that are overtaken by a more ashy note--not burnt, there isn’t a strong roast malt presence--but a more chocolatey ashy flavour. The texture is creamy. A simple porter, simple and good.

UPDATED: FEB 16, 2015 From WLVL. Really quite good, stayed fizzy long after pouring. Very fruit yeast, raisins, plums, coke colored. Not as roasted as I would have thought. Serving: Bottle

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottled 330ml. -at Bar Cameral Koper. Black coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, light chocolate and hint of licorice in the nose. Pleasant roasted malt, chocolate and licorice with notes of spices and discreet touch of coffee in rather bitter finish. Nice one but honestly expected (and also had) better from De Molen.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Pours dark with a beige head. Aroma is full malty, something between corn and roasted coffee. Taste is lighty sweet by the malts and some coffee in the end. Really malty beer. Soft carbonation and medium body.Well not so balanced for me and this was a surprise for a De Molen beer...
