Bottle. Murky dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma has notes of chocolate, yeast, and caramel. The flavour is caramel, bitter chocolate, and some light hoppy notes that are overtaken by a more ashy note--not burnt, there isn’t a strong roast malt presence--but a more chocolatey ashy flavour. The texture is creamy. A simple porter, simple and good.

From WLVL. Really quite good, stayed fizzy long after pouring. Very fruit yeast, raisins, plums, coke colored. Not as roasted as I would have thought. Serving: Bottle

33cl bottle at home. Dark brown with a small tan head. Medium body with low carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Sweet with some bitter tones. Roasted malts, dark chocolate, raisins, dark ripe fruits and spices. A nice smooth porter.

Bottled 330ml. -at Bar Cameral Koper. Black coloured, medium sized cappuccino head, light chocolate and hint of licorice in the nose. Pleasant roasted malt, chocolate and licorice with notes of spices and discreet touch of coffee in rather bitter finish. Nice one but honestly expected (and also had) better from De Molen.

Bottle at the Hoppy Pub, Thessaloniki. Pours dark with a beige head. Aroma is full malty, something between corn and roasted coffee. Taste is lighty sweet by the malts and some coffee in the end. Really malty beer. Soft carbonation and medium body.Well not so balanced for me and this was a surprise for a De Molen beer...

Black with beige head. Lots of smoke, some ash, dry malts and a hint of espresso. Quite dry and sour, with a light sweet kick and deep roasted bitter finish. Medium to light bodied. The sourness is a bit weird, but overall it’s OK.

Little smoky in the throat, roasty in the mouth. Hint of chocolate on the nose. Super light for a Porter. Not opaque.

It has beautiful beautiful coffee aroma. The head is very velvet, has tiny bubbles, but it’s very short. Taste is totally to short, almost non of it stays in the mouth. Taste is strangely sour. After warming up the aroma also change to malty and sour. In the end it became even a little bit unpleasant.
