75CL bottle shared at tasting pitch black with low carbonation and close to no foam. actually tastes like red wine, also a lot of clove going on. there is a porter-taste in the background, but the red wine takes the upper hand. a bit sweet. Overall: a very strange beer, very nice.

Thanks to bierkoning for that one! Bottle looks good, beer in the glass also. Starts malty and strong, some coffee notes and also fruity notes of berries. Nice sourish background. Finish shows more and more hop notes, nice bitter side. Well balanced finish, very drinkable. Very nice beer!

75cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Dark brown to black colour, beige head. Aroma of Belgian chocolates or bon-bons, vanilla, bourbon, light vinous. Flavour is light sweet, chocolate, vanilla, wood, light vinous, hint of tartness, light coffee and chocolate bitter finish with a hint of bourbon. Medium bodied. This beer has improved tremendously with the oak-aging imo.
