Prettige geur, mooie gerichte smaak, niet blijvend stroef, uitstekende tripel

Bottle. Pours a hazy dark amber with a thin, off-white head that descends into a ring. Aromas are weaker than expected but consist mostly of sweet malts, some honey and spice. Taste is at first molasses-sweet and becomes more bitter towards the end. Alcoholic aftertaste. Not bad, but I expected a bit more.

Bottle at the Zwanze ’14 after party, well that was me and Paul in his kitchen and these notes are pretty hard going but they do make sense! 20/09/14. Murky orange with a good sized off white covering. Nose is bitter tropical fruit, candied fruit peel, sweet tones. Taste comprises pineapple, tropical notes, bitter citric, candied sugar, light spice, bitter orange. Medium + body, fine carbonation, lightly warming alcohol in a sweet and sour close. Ok stuff.

Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy golden-amber with a thick white head. The nose is soft, doughy, spice, bread, hay, cereal and light toast. The taste is bitter-sweet, light tartness, pear skin, sherbet, apple, doughy, tinned fruit, light alcohol and lemony sherbet with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not bad.

Tap @ brewpub. Pours a coppery orange with a large, beige head. Aroma is orange, a lot of orange peel, curacao. Some spiciness. Taste is somewhat sweet, fairly caramelly and pale malty. Quite a lot of orange and orange peel, curacao again. Somewhat boozy. Full with medium carbonation.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2014 0,33L bottle, bottled 16.04.2014. Pours hazy amber with off-white head. The small head stays. Aroma is sweet, fruits, caramel candy, malt. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel candy, fruits, spices. Finish is caramel candy and dry bitter with some alcohol (the nasty kind). Overall: great brew, but the nasty alcohol somewhat ruins it.

Cloudy orange color, average sized creamy off white head. Full body, soft carbonation. Aroma of malts, yeast, coriander, some fruitiness. Medium to high sweetness. Sadly, without any surprises. A straightforward, but still very enjoyable tripel.

Appearance: Hazy golden color with a white head that leaves an ok lacing.
Aroma: A bit acidic fuity and herbal.
Palate: Medium + body. Slightly sweet and a moderat bitterness. Average carbonation.
Taste: Fruity, a bit acidic, malty and herbal. Well masked alcohol.
Overall impression: Unfortunatley nothing special at all.
