Bottle at Servaas cafe, Maastricht. Murky golden colour, very cloudy, slim creamy offwhite head. Sweetly malted, quite alcoholic, fruity hoppy, bitterness in the finish. Not your average triple, more like a blonde barley wine. Good body, medium carbonation.

330ml bottle from Whole Foods, Giffnock (£2.99):
A decent beer from De Molen, a lot sweeter than expect but with some earthy & floral hops too; bread malts, caramel & background fruits balance things out a little though. There was a few nice spices coming through & the beer had a nice alcohol kick too but I couldn’t help but think it seemed a little bland & basic in a few areas, it could probably have been a whole lot better too. That being said, this was a nice beer & one that I enjoyed without it really doing enough to truly impress me.

I paid $6.99 at Julio’s Liquors for a 11.2 oz bottle. I guess the age of this doesn’t matter much but I am a tool for paying this high of a price. Consumed slightly chilled. Light hazy golden with very low carbonation. Aroma of dried fruits, honey and coriander and yeast.

The flavor is pretty much the same as the aroma with a tad to much coriander. Mouthfeel and texture is oily and slick. Low carbonation with the lightest hint of sweetness. It’s ok but I paid to much for this bottle.

Bottle gift from EVSJ 151030. Very opaque brown with creamy lasting white head. Sweet spicy nose with plenty of coriander. Also a heavy coriander palate with malty sweetness. Strange beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle at Bent Elbow. Sweet fruity grape aroma. Super sweet grape taste, with distinct slice and earthiness, and a boozy bitter finish. Unique, and good.

Tap @ basement beer bar. Aroma of sweet hops, caramel, alcohol, resin. Clear light amber brown with tiny off-white head, not lasting. Moderate bitterness, hidden behind some alcohol sweetness; moderate sweetness. Full body, oily texture, light+ carbonation, bitter finish with some alcohol warmness.
