Bottle: Served in a Duvel glass: Medium sized airy sticky off white to beige colored foamy head on top of a murky brown colored beer. Aromas of toast, grains, barley malts, raisin, porridge, caramel, buttermilk, some roasted wood. Flavours of bitters, nuts, light dry, toast, barley malts, caramel, hay toast, spices, dough, prunes, barley malt bitter, leaves and leave toast. Aftertaste is bitter with a dry touch and some caramel, nuts, barley malts and hay. Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.

Hazy dark red beer. Big fluffy pale tan head. Sweet malt. Mild minerals. A little coca cola. Lots of malt cream. Touch of orange squash underneath. Whisper of spice. Finishes fairly neutral. Tasty Belgian Strong, very smooth.

(bottle) pours a murky brown colour with a frothy light beige head. aroma of herbal hops, rotten peaches and earth, with notes of kiwi, pale malts, peanuts and yeast. flavour is mostly caramel, dark fruit and kiwi, with a hint of milk chocolate, roasted malts, hazelnuts and some alcohol in the light-bitter finish. heavy-bodied with average carbonation.

Clear medium to dark amber colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dusty, light brown sugar, light to moderate hoppy, moderate yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, burnt caramel, yeasty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130216]

Bottle @ Rooie Dop brewdungeon. Dark amber colour, beige head. Nose is caramel malts, spices, yeasty, bit of fruits. Flavour is caramel malts, spices, yeasty. Slightly sweet and bitter.

75cl Bottle, bought at BBF’12. Clear deep reddish-brown colour, creamy light-beige head. Aroma of spices like cinnamon, caraway, dark fruits, tart berries, cocoa. Flavour is medium-sweet, dark malts, dark fruits/forest fruits, cinnamon, berries, cocoa, surprisingly firm herbal bitter finish. Medium-bodied, creamy mouthfeel, just a little over-carbonated. Nice beer.

75 cl bottle (bought @ BBF 2012), now about a year old. Deep brown color, mostly clear. Tan head with a thin layer of fine bubbles on top op a huge blanket of big ones. Aroma’s of sweet fruit, hoppy acidity, roasted malts, some sweetness. Flavor is roasted - medium bitter & medium sweet. Body is medium. Finishes rather dry, roasted (coffee) and quite bitter.

Thanks Jürgen! Pours murky orange/brown with a small tan head. Smell is caramel, some spice ,fruit and some booze. Taste is oxidated fruit, dry tart finish with alcohol at the end. Medium body with bright carbonation. Interesting...
