Thanks to someone for sharing at bu11zeye’s 10,000th rating tasting. The beer pours a brownish-amber color with a few white bubbles but no real head. The aroma has a lot of toffee and alcohol in it, but there is also a little bit of cherry. The flavor is similar. The toffee is complimented by some tobacco and leather notes, as well as some cherries and orange citrus. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

BMan1113VR (7820) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 31, 2012
Bottle number 159 from the February 2009 bottling thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazed amber hued body with a fading white head. Aromas are of brandy, bready, raisins, caramel, cereal and melanoidins. Some orange, citrus and resin. Flavors are bitter, with some sweetness, iced tea, brandy, orange schnapps and caramel. Lower carbonation, medium bodied, bitter duration and warming. Not sure how I would have liked this fresh. Not even remotely close to a DIPA any more, but decent as an American Strong or Barley Wine.

(750ml bottle thanks to bu11zeye) clear medium amber, no bubbles. Nose of honey, hops, and brown sugar. Taste is very bitter, uncarbonarted, too many esters for me.

Hansen (6434) - Assentoft, DENMARK - NOV 18, 2011
Dark brown, and unclear. Has an off-white head mostly lasting. Heavy sweet aroma, druid fruit, plum, figs, soy sauce, dark. Flavor is heavy sweet, heavy bitter too, light acidic. syrupy texture. Soft carbonation.
