Bottled. An unclear brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has quite strong notes of hops on a malty background. The flavor has notes of alfa acid and hops combined with malt, leading to a hoppy finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottled. Hazy deep nutbrown colour, mediumsized beige head. Aroma is bigtime hops and some caramel malts. Flavour is fruity and flowery hops along with some licorice and alcohol. Balanced and pleasantly drinkable. More a richly hopped barley wine than IIPA/DIPA.

Copenhagen Beer Festival. Think I heard this described as a ’Cross between a barleywine and a double IPA’. Cloudy brown beer. Smooth palate. Nicely balanced rich malt and hops with the hops just becoming dominant. Warming finish and a bitterish aftertaste.

Brown color, small head. Aroma of caramel, sweaty hops, light fruity hops, some alcohol. Good body strength, strong caramel flavor, semi-sweet, with strong bitterness; the hop, even if nicely mingled with the caramel, is partially resiny and fruity. Solid.

2009-05-16, draught at Københavnske Øldage 2009, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Cloudy brown color, small head. Very good aroma of American hops, oranges, a bit resiny. Good caramel flavor, fruity and resiny hops. The final is a bit astringent, tannic. Powerful, but a bit confused; yet, very good.

2009-05-09, bottle, 7-3-7-3-15=35
It pours an opaque brown color, completely still. There is some nutty caramel aroma. Good body strength, strong malt flavor, with caramel, well sweet, a bit nutty, and with a respectable final bitterness; quite English style. The final is less powerful than expected, weaker, moderately short. Unfortunately the complete lack of carbonation has a negative impact on this beer. I’m generous just because of my addition to Barley Wines.
