33cl Bottle from De Molen Beershop. Black colour, light-brown head. Aroma of loads of booze in the beginning, bourbon, sweet soy sauce, hard roasted - ashy - malts, molasses, coffee, chocolate. Flavour is sweet, less boozy than expected apart from the slight burn in the finish, bourbon, oak, soy sauce, molasses, coffee, hard roasted malts, firm bitter roasted malts in the finish. Full-bodied. Good, just a touch from great. This one really needs to mellow out a bit more imho, although I usually like RIS’s fresh.

330ml bottle from Mikkeller & Friends

Bottle #0022 (!), vertical with 666 - Pours pitch black with a tiny bubbly head. Aroma of roasty malts, whisky, vanilla, oak, wood and sweet syrup. Taste is heavy, sweet and roasty with notes of whisky, vanilla, oak, wood and syrup. Finish is smooth, woody and oaky with notes of vanilla and whisky. Quite heavy and sweet, whisky notes are more subtle than the cognac notes in 666.

thnx to kermis ! at rampkrot whale tasting, drank the day after ( it was closed by a corck, so the diffrence should not be that big ) i went INSANE when i heard this was at cbc , and i wasnt able to go . thank god i did get this one after all. 666 ’regular’ is my top favourite beer. so if only for the label, i NEEDED to have this ! pours pure black, small layer of grey foam, fades to a ring . very oaty in the smell, hel en verdoemenis is definetly there. actualy, this is very comparable to the 666 ! thats unexpected ( by the discription, not the label , wich is a copy of the regular one ;) ) bitter, bit lighter mouthfeel than the 666 . sweet, and VERY good. givven the fact this is a day open now ( closed pretty good though, it actualy popped when re-opened ) . not as shocking as the 666 though. it misses the warm smell, the supergood aftertaste. plus coffee is less straight forward. but whiskey isnt my thing AT ALL n, and it doesnt bother me, not even close, in this beer. so very well done! will rerate when i had again and the bottle hasnt been opened. i have another bottle so it should be no problem :)

Countbeer (6222) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 14, 2013
Bottle: The number of this Beast is 0049: Dark brown to black pour. Medium sized, vast, slowly changing, light sticky brown foamy head on top of a black colored beer. Aromas of porridge, some chocolate, some liquorice, light roast, liquor, light whiskey (and lighter cognac) notes, hint of berries, hints of marzepin, filled chocolate, light tar ish tones, grass and floral. A well balanced herbal floral barrel aged roasted mix. Flavours of dry liquor and dry roast, some (dry) liquorice, plant extracts, spices, alcohol, bitter, some chocolate and some cacoa, figs, coal, tabacco, some berries, parfume, oil, tar, chalk, some wood burn/roast and ash. Balanced. Aftertaste is plant extract roast, bitter, grass, liquorice, malt roast, light porridge and tabacco. Low carbo, soft silky mouthfeel, full body and an oily texture. Decent beer, but there’s something strange with this beer. Is it the liquor, the dryness or the spicy bitter tones.. Or is it a mix of all these things? But it’s soft and smooth.. After a time breathing it all becomes even better balanced. Good beer!

Bottle smuggled from Netherlands as a gift care of Kermis shared with Jeano. Pours sinful black with small head that didn’t hang around for too long. Notes of bakers chocolate, rich barrel, caramel, tons of licorice and an impressive malt/hop bill. Has some nice bitterness mixed into the decadent roasty dark notes. Long lasting and warming in the chest. Cheech ahh

Bottle, many thanks to Kermis for helping me slay this H&V tick. Opaque black pour with rich creamy brown foam. Aroma of whisky, really rich chocolaty aromas, a bit smoky, anise aromas, roasty. Taste is rich, tons of chocolate, nice spirit flavors. Palate is chewy, sweet but with good carbonation to cut through. Super tasty.
