Tap @ de Molen. Dark color, short brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolat, dry oak wood, some coffee. Full bodied, creamy texture. Big malty taste, quite sweet, medium bitter, slight dry. The oak chips came through a bit too much, or perhaps the Dutchsky gives it a woody touch as well. Not my favorite, as I’m a sucker for bourbon. Still, wonderful beer.

Tap at De Molen. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin tan head and a thick oily consistency. The aroma is rich malty, with alcohol and a malty medicinal edge. The flavour is strong bitter, roasted malt, alcohol and chocolate, A really chewy flavour packed beer!

The beer smells like heavy roasted malts with a smoked touch. There is also the smell of alcohol. It is a ver soft creamy version of the hel & verdoemenis, but with an alcohol boost. I think i am tasting some peat from the whiskey, but i could be smoked malts. But overal a nice version of the classic hel & verdoemenis. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle. Deepest dark brown with small, creamy to frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dark malty aroma with minimally smoky Bourbon notes, vanilla. Taste has a Bourbon entry, vanilla, a touch of smoke, dark malty coffee and chocolate notes. Too Bourbon dominated for me.

Bottle, bought @ Mikkeller Bar, Cph. Pours deep clear dark red to black with a small, staying, creamy, beige head. Aroma has coffee, cocoa, toffee, light vinious, some raisins. Mild dusty. Medium to low carbonation, fine dry and very creamy mouthfeel. Flavour has lots of coffee, cocoa nibs, vinious, roasted malts. Light dusty and dry. The alcohol does take over a bit.

Bottle from DeMolen. Dark brown almost black with a small, light tan head. Aroma of cocoa, whiskey, vanilla, roasted malt and alcohol. Flavor is boozy up front with plenty of chocolate, bitter roast and oak. Medium to full body with soft carbonation and a long hot finish. Very similar to the other BA versions.

thnx to kermis ! at rampkrot whale tasting, drank the day after ( it was closed by a corck, so the diffrence should not be that big ) i went INSANE when i heard this was at cbc , and i wasnt able to go . thank god i did get this one after all. 666 ’regular’ is my top favourite beer. so if only for the label, i NEEDED to have this ! pours pure black, small layer of grey foam, fades to a ring . very oaty in the smell, hel en verdoemenis is definetly there. actualy, this is very comparable to the 666 ! thats unexpected ( by the discription, not the label , wich is a copy of the regular one ;) ) bitter, bit lighter mouthfeel than the 666 . sweet, and VERY good. givven the fact this is a day open now ( closed pretty good though, it actualy popped when re-opened ) . not as shocking as the 666 though. it misses the warm smell, the supergood aftertaste. plus coffee is less straight forward. but whiskey isnt my thing AT ALL n, and it doesnt bother me, not even close, in this beer. so very well done! will rerate when i had again and the bottle hasnt been opened. i have another bottle so it should be no problem :)

UPDATED: JUN 22, 2013 Thx to Kraddel @ Rampkrot Whale tasting – 33 cl. Bottle sample. Didn’t know that this existed until today. Black mocha head only on the sides. Nose is mocha, cognac booze, light soy, chocolate, bitter,… Taste is bitter soy, roasted chocolate, vinous, red grapes, vines, liquorish, molasses, bitter roasted malts, bitter herbs, candy, strong bitter spices,… Flat mats,… okay but nowhere near as good as some of the original 666 I have head but that is the regular De Molen story these days.

Bottle thanks to MrH! Pours pitch black with a medium brown creamy head and nice lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee, licorice, bourbon. Flavor is the same, medium sweet and light light bitterness. Medium plus body, creamy mouthfeel. Some warming on the finish, but not bad at all for ABV. Nice beer.
