Tief dunkelmalziger, holzig-süßer Geruch mit Likörnoten. Voluminös, malzsüßer Antrunk. Viel Kaffee, Röstaromen und alkoholisch. Trotzdem sanft-ölig gleitend mit Vanille. Sehr bittertrocken, likörig, holzfaßartig ablaufend. Alkoholisch nachwärmend. Enormes Bier.

75 cl bottle #371. Pours black, small tan head receding to hazy swirl on the surface. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted coffee, soft peat, rounding into vanilla toffee, raisin, sweet hint of cognac. In the taste, chocolate and dark espresso, integrating into cognac fruitiness, toffee, oak, and this crazy long finish with both cognac sweetness and roast bitterness balanced perfectly. Mouthwatering. Medium full in the mouth, creamy, round and smooth, well balanced. Overall an excellent brew for sure, one of my favorite H&V treatments. Reminds me slightly of Nielsbohrium, but with more roast character.

Bottle @ home, bought at De Molen. Unclear pitch black color. The big thick light brown head consists out of very small bubbles leaving a very nice lacing in the glass. Aroma is very roasty, coffee, caramel, lightly hints of smoke and wood. Taste roasted malts, coffee, earth, dark chocolate, a hint of vanilla sneaking through. Soft carbonation, creamy / oily texture, full body.

Intensiv cremiger Malzantrunk mit hoher Süße, Kaffee. Intensiv, harmonisch, wie bei vielen starken De Molen Bieren tief malzif und harmonisch bis ins Detail. /13/12/13//13

Bottle 563 of 666. Undoubtedly, the best balanced and visually stunning with a thin and whispy latte head. Aroma of molasses, dark chocolate, oak, char, vanilla, and raisin. Even a little rauch quality. Rich fudge, brownie, and pure vanilla extract in addition to cognac, brown sugar, and wood. Chewy mouthfeel. Really good.
