Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2010, Brouwerij de Molen, Overtocht 43, Bodegraven, Netherlands.

Clear dark black brown color with a average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, light beige head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, dark chocolate, storng coffee, wood, cask wood - tobacco. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, soft grapes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is flat, finish feel is light to moderate alcoholic. [20100924]

dark red-brown, no head. Red wine, oats, bit of fruit and also acetone. Flavor is sweeter, sugary chocolate cake, very dense mouthfeel, alcohol without much bordeaux. Really desert like. Needs more wine, too hot without much behind though enough marriage to get some desert. No carbonation, thin but chalky body.

180mL #410 courtesy of Travlr. Pour is a flat, clear, deep cola brown. Aroma is powerful red wine oak, smoked meat, spicy vanilla, vinous port notes. Wickedly inviting. Taste is spicy, rich, drying oak, slight tanginess from the wine. Coffee, cocoa, vanilla extract also peek through. The palate is lacking though compared to Misto BA, which is simply unbeatable.

18cl bottle, thanks Travlr. No head atop murky dark brown body. Aroma is sweet, red wine, chocolate, some coffee. Taste is moderately sweet, bittersweet chocolate, coffee, some vinous. Medium-full body, flat, some stickiness.

Vinous and liquor aroma with lots of chocolate and roast, just a touch of green apple really detracts from the festivities. The taste is moderately sweet, extremely low bitterness, lots of milk chocolate, and some dark fruit. Nearly flat with a chalky texture. Very green. Very disappointing.

Blæack with a big and lasting tan head. Rich roasted aroma with chocolate, licorice and ink, and hints of red wine. Sweet roasted flavour with some wood and berry notes. Great balance and a long lasting aftertaste

Bottle, 190/600, 18cl, at Patricks. A beer without head, just some brown bubbles, a few. Oily, black body. Loads of coffee on the nose, a solid dose of alcohol too. Chocolate and bonfire blends in. Very oily in the mouth, but not thick, quite flat. Warming and dry as well. The flavor is burnt, with lots of coffee and chocolate, some sugary sweetness and a good dash of alcohol. Some wine notes too. Lasting finish with a good alcohol burn and a solid coffee flavor. A wonderful one, not a beer to drink a lot of, but a nip size bottle is just fine. 101110
