Deep black with small tan head. Light smoke, thick chocolate, espresso, tart berries, vanilla, wood, nuts, tiny hint of wasabi and chili. Big sweetness with tartness in the middle and burnt bitter finish. Thick, syrupy body, light carbonation. Massive beer!

Scopey (10037) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 16, 2015
Bottle thanks to Matteo. It pours opaque black with a decent tan head. The nose is rich roasted malt, rather oily, sweet vanilla, toffee, cocoa, sweet smoke and dried fruits. The taste is rich roast, oily, toasty, charred wood, burnt coconut, earthy whisky, mild smoked peat and milk chocolate with a smooth finish. Medium - full body, fine carboantion and chewy mouth-feel. All comes together pretty well. Decent, but not nearly as punchy as some of the other whisky barrel versions of this beer.

Bottle shared at CBC holburn, many thanks to Matteo. Aroma is smoked, phenol, brown malts, Islay malts, rustic. Viscous dark brown coloured pour with a fleeting tan head. Flavour is composed of medicinal phenol, light TCP, brown sugar, nutty and caramel. A but numbing on the tongue. Palate is medium full, moderate carbonation. Good.

Taste is sweet with red wine and caramel then turns into ashy smokey bacon notes. Very nice balance. Medium to full bodied with good carbonation. Overall, very nice

Bottle... Pours black with dark brown highlights and no head. The nose presents burnt, caramelized fudge and a big splash of peaty, smoky liquor. Full-bodied with an oily mouthfeel and lazy carbonation. The flavor is charred, bitter, alcoholic and peaty, accompanied by espresso and tobacco smoke. There’s a small ration of cardboard-like oxidation here. Boozy, smoky, charred finish. Bottle courtesy of MrHangover!

Piwo bombarduje nas potężnym aromatem odleżanego, starego, dębowego drewna i torfu.

Bottle from Bierkoning, Amsterdam. Opaque black beer with a small beige/brownish head. Roasted coffee and whisky aroma, peated, vanilla, licorice, dark chocolate, cocoa notes, caramel, nuts, leather notes, some raisins and figs. Roasted peated whisky aroma, grassy, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, cocoa, raisins, vanilla, biscuits, hazel nits, some leather. Alcohol is well hidden. Great way of adding peated whisky to an Impy.
