Aroma is dark malts, vinous notes and dry fruit. The flavor is dry dark malts, vinous/dark fruit, toffee and a mix of sweet and slight tartness in the finish.

New Beer Distributors, NYC bottle (9ish): Pous murky near black with a brown head, but less brown than others. Aroma is chocolate, brandy, roasted malts, some hops, but not too much. Taste is sweet, moderately bitter, deep and complex. Body is thick and oily. This is really a slow sipper. I just finished law school and my last exam was for a class taught by a dutch professor. i drink this in her honor, even if I failed the class. Cheers.

Thick, oily and black with not much of a head. Aromas of treacle, port, roasted malts... tastes chocolate, coffee, treacle, port, caramel, brown sugar... lovely alcohol warmth. Thick in the mouth, but still alarmingly drinkable. Not too sweet or cloying. Fantastic beer.

Jammie!

On tap @ Erzbierschof Zurich, also bought a bottle afterwards. Aroma of roasted malts and bittersweet chocolate, also some dark fruits and coffee/espresso - very interesting! Appearance black with light beige head. Taste great as expected, very sweet on first notice, turns bitter right away, very smokey. Quite a party. Bitter finish as well, average carbonation (considering it’s an imperial stout). Really nice.

Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, lots of sweet chocolate, espresso coffee notes, some dark fruity notes, hint of liquorice. Flavour is moderate to medium sweet with a nice moderate bitter finish. Easily drinkable and delicious chocolate Imperial Stout.

Bottle sample at a tasting at avrashi’s place. Thanks Chen! Deep opaque brown with small brownish head. Sweet aroma with lots of vanilla, notes of soy sauce, coconut, licorice, coffee and some herbs. Very sweet and complex flavor with notes of vanilla, coconut, licorice, dried fruits and some coffee, light sourness, semi-dry finish. Soft carbonation, oily texture, full-bodied. Excellent.
