Awesome beer. Takes all the best elements of an imperial stout and a belgian strong beer, and jams them together. I’ll definitely be trying more from this brewery!

Pours a thick heavy black tar pour with an ephemeral Java head. Nose is heavy strong roasted malt with notes of bitter black licorice. Taste is bittersweet chocolate, which lingers and deep roasted woody malt, alcohol hidden despite the ABV . Finishes on the same tasting notes, mild lacing, with a dry chocolate sweet ending. Nice ! Quaff Score 8 / 10

Oregon Brewers fest great, again, and a big part of that their international tent with beers & brewers from Japan, China & the Netherlands, Strong alcohol smell to this, burnt alcohol, espresso. rich chewy texture, flavor tamps back the alcohol a little with molasses, tobacco and wood smoke. surprisingly clean finish.

Flaske 330ml fra Vinmonopolet Tromsø - Langnes. Drukket hjemme 3 Jul 16. Svart. Lavt mokkafarget skum. Tett lacing. Utmerket sjokoladearoma. Oljeaktig munnfølelse. Smaken lakris & sjokolade. Blir tørr etter hvert. Et lett mandelpreg. Utmerket øl.

0,33l bottle from Firmabier. Pours pitch black colour with a moderate gray head that quickly reaches the top. Aroma of dark malts, caramelly chocolate, dark coffee, some peat and smoke, cognac, nuttiness. Surprisingly light body for a IS, around medium body. Very enjoyable.

Apr. ’16. A 0.33 l bottle that poured a pitch black body with medium sized brown head. Quite light aroma, although fine. Chocolate, cocoa, latte here. Flavor was smooth, lightly roasted with coffee, chocolate, wood. Medium to full body within which alcohol was hidden very well, felt only as a slight warming in its finish. A very nice IS, although admittedly not stellar. Looking forward other beers from this brewery which has become available in Croatia!

11.2 ounces? Really? Wheres my missing 0.8 ounces? Im missing 6.66% of my beer! Is that why this is Hell & Damnation? Dark black, Nice beautiful khaki head. Whoa, this is delicious. Thick chocolate. Coffee. Sticky. Mocha. Nutty. This is rather underrated, and it rates well. Incredibly drinkable despite the 10%. Not hot.
