Black color with some reddish notes and barely beige head. Definitely, coffee on the aroma, roasted malts, dark chocolate and some hops. Creamy mouthfeel. Very good taste, roasted coffee beans, dark chocolate, toffee, with a bitter backgorund. Very balanced beer, you barely notice the alcohol. Really nice!

Bottle @ home. Poured a thick black, with a dense tan head. Strong aroma of rich coffee, roasted malt and a slight Marmite note. Full, thick mouth feel. Dark chocolate and roasty flavours, with some treacle and liquorice. Finish was perfectly balanced burnt malts and espresso, with black syrup, dried fruit and sweet alcohol.

Bottle from Sean, who went to Holland. Big liquorice nose, roast malt and touches of coffee. Heavy, heavy mouthfeel, loads of dark fruits. Luscious, coffee flavour. Soft carbonation. Long, complex finish. Awesome.

330ml bottle from Mikkeller webshop. Black colour, lively beige foam head leaving lacing and aroma of roast malt, molasses, dark fruits, chocolate. Flavour of roasted malt with leather, coffee & dark chocolate, some nutty notes and lingering bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, full bodied, soft carbonation, warming boozy roast bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Brown, almost black beer with little brown head. Aroma has wood, liqueur, light smokiness and roasted malts. Flavor is sweetish with dark chocolate and roasted malts. Palate is soft and full. Finish has light bitterness. Decent stuff.

Appearance is black as night, not much head to speak of, a slight beige foamy covering. Aroma- huge roastiness, rich chocolate cake, leather, cigar smoke, burnt fruitcake, fudge, vanilla hints, booze. Smells sublime. Taste- roasted malt, quite a bit of smokiness, espresso coffee, dark chocolate, burnt treacle, lengthy bitter finish. Mouthfeel is oily, and a bit clingy. Excellent.

I had a bottle from De Hopduvel, Gent, Belgium. Less malty comparing to Emelisse, White Label. Pours black with almost no head. Coffee aroma is much less than Struise, Cuvee Delphine and less than Emelisse White Label but still there.

33cl in teku. Aroma: lots of dark chocolate, grain coffee, a bit of roastiness and alcohol. Colour: black with brown/deep red reflections. Minimal head disappeared after a minute. Full body with wonderful, bitter finish. Overally a very good RIS.
