Pitch black, tan creamy head. Aroma of cocoa powder, dried fruit and high ester content (strange, maybe old batch? - need to re-rate this soon). Palate massive, low carbonation. Taste of prunes and raisins, dark chocolate and pralines in finish. Long lasting neutral bitterness. Surprisingly fruity and light in color to me for a RIS. Overall mixed impressions. Somewhere deep down is decent beer but there are some issues with estery taste.

Aroma of dark malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits, leather and alcohol. Taste of dark malts, dark chocolate, dark fruits, leather, licorice and coffee. Low carbonation, medium bitterness and full body. Very nice and smooth imperial stout. Glad i bought this one.

0.33 bottle. Black in color with a small, tanned head. Aroma of dark malts, loads of dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, and a touch of lactose. Taste is sweet, malty, caramel, once again a lot of chocolate. A full body, a creamy texture, and a flat carbonation. Finish is even more chocolaty than the rest. Overall the beer is splendid - not insanely complex by very pleasant and most importantly tasty.

Aroma - alcohol hits first. There is also roast, coffee, anise, caramelized sugars, and dark fruits. Appearance - body is black. The head is minimal and beige. Rings out. Taste - has tobacco, dark chocolate, roast on top with undertones of raisins, prunes, and coffee. Superbly balanced. Not crushing. Palate - between medium and full, the texture slick and sticky, the carbonation on the softer side, the finish slightly bitter and long in length.

Many thanks to my "EU Santa 2015" MrHangover for this bottle! Intense and voluminous. Dark chocolate, sweet roasted malt. Not much bitterness. Intense and sticky. Roasted brown sugar in the aftertaste. Not much bitterness, nice.

Black with thick tan head. Roasted, raw licorice aroma. Light wood and yeast. Flavour has smooth and solid roasted malt with chocolate and licorice well combined. Bitterness is just about perfect with a little syrupy sweetness to balance. Relatively light yet very powerful.

A really serious Imperial Stout. With real character, roasted malt and coffee flavour, plus a dense texture.

330ml bottle. Pours an opaque, almost black with plenty of sediment and a small, short lived, brown head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, licorice and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, licorice, dark chocolate and coffee with a dry, bitter, warming alcohol finish. Full body with a thick, oily texture and soft carbonation. Excellent.

Tiny tan head. Opaque dark brown body, almost black. Aroma is chocolate, coffee, soy sauce and caramel. Kind of smokey. Bitter and sweet on the tongue at first. Long, slightly salty aftertaste. Brilliant!
