Clear, dark brown with great beige head. Aroma: dark malts, roasty, alcohol, licorice and dark fruits. Heavy body, sweet. Nice roasty taste; coffee, dark chocolate. Some bitterness on finish. Oily texture. Unfortunately very alcoholic.

0.25L on tap at Druggist Singapore. Appearance: Pours very dark brown, almost pitch black with a small amount of foam that quickly fades. Aroma: Initial whiff is that of molasses and caramel, with thick and sticky roasted notes with a base of dark toasted bread. Then comes the sweet scent of raisins and dried fruits which finishes off with the scent of alcohol. Taste: Very creamy and silky smooth texture to the point of being oily. Medium heavy mouth-feel with a bit of chew. Taste is molasses and raisin dominant and was pretty sweet. Fortunately the sweetness isn’t cloying. Then comes the slight medicinal taste of licorice with hints of spiciness. However the medicinal taste is tad too dominant. Alcohol is well covered up by the sweetness and roasted flavors. Finish: Excellent smooth and long finish of coffee notes which slowly develops into a rich chocolate taste. The finish is where the roasted chocolately goodness reveals itself. Overall: A decadent and lovely Imperial Stout with predominant molasses and raisins notes with an aromatic and long coffee, chocolate finish. Though it was a little overly sweet and medicinal for my liking.

Tap at Little Beer Room with Matt and Chingyi. Chocolate, deep and bitter, light spice, light Xmas pudding/raisin, light herbal grassiness. Body is slick, medium to thick, lightly grassy and spiced, fine carbonation. Tasty.

Tap at Little Beer Room with Steph and Chingyi. Aroma is huge chocolate soy roasted coffee. Inviting. Taste follows. Nicely bitter but a bit more savory than I like for stouts.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark brown - near black with small tan head. Lots of chocolate, a bit of roast, some mild soy. Well balanced, slightly ashy, alcohol is quite noticeable on the nose, but mild on the taste.
