Pours black with low light tan head. Aroma dominated by chocolate, almost more milk chocolate than dark. Coffee, vanilla, bourbon barrel, dark fruit. Taste is deep chocolate and coffee with a distinct bitterness. Here it's dark chocolate again. Long, bitter finish with warming alcohol. Medium body, a tad too light for the style. Low carbonation, creamy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle 330ml, pours dark brown to black delicatly sparkling with almost no head. Deep aroma of dark chocolate with some raisins, licorice and a touch of vanilla. In taste medium chocolate sweetness with good balanced bitterness of roasted malt. I can’t get rid of the feeling that there is some spiciness in the background, like there were chillies added, even though they aren’t on the ingredients list. Full bodied with very well hidden alcohol, nevertheless it’s a bit to heavy for me. Nice one but not the most impressive from De Molen.

Black color with inch thick beige head. Liquorice, bitter chocolate, coffee, nice aroma. The taste is overwhelming: Chocolate like crazy, liquorice, vanilla, booze (not too much though). Sounds easy but it is just so perfectly balanced, it?s hard to describe. Sweet without being sweet. Smooth carbonation. Fantastic.

33cl bottle. Deep black colour with almost no head. Light tan lacing. Bitter chocolate, coffee, liquorice and raisins in the aroma. Taste is a treat well balanced between a sweet and bitter harmony and a dry finish. Overall, a very good beer.

McWorta (754) - LUXEMBOURG - FEB 10, 2015
Pitch black with dark ruby red huhes and a medium light tan head. Noses of fresh coffee and bitter chocolate, roast malt notes, light earthy faint leather notes. Softly carbonated, light slick texture medium-full body. Rum-chocolate-coffee sweet-bitter flavour with a notch of astringency and hints of light woody-smokey, alcohol-aromatic raisins, marzipan and ginger bread. Complex yet harmonically balanced. Lasting finish! Excellent!
