Fruity, very Beligan aroma. Lots of sugar, way too sweet for an Imp Stout, way too sweet for my liking.

Keg at the Euston Tap. The pour’s deep murky brown with a to y head. The nose is roast chocolate, toffee, brownie, nut bar. Rich, earthy sweetness. The taste is rich coffee, chocolate cake, dirt. Dark roasted chocolate bitterness. Hints vanilla and ash. Wonderful stuff, a great impulse stout. Nice.

Blackish pour. Small tan head. No lacing. Coffee and chocolate and figs in the nose. Sweet malty flavor with huge notes of coffee. A slight earthy taste in the finish with a slight bitterness.

12oz bottle. 2010 vintage.
A: Opens with a substantial hiss and the pour yields a really aggressive mocha head. The way it explodes reminds me of an infected beer, but fortunately this isn’t being murdered by yeast. Very deep black.
N: Lots of whisky, chocolate, metal. Brandy and raisins. Vanilla. Plenty of brown sugar, burnt caramel, coffee, and peanuts. Plenty of smoke.
T: Acrid smoke, burnt caramel, intense oak. Can be somewhat astringent and it varies behind really harsh and tasty. However, the end of this is really, really, bad as all the yeast settled to the bottom.
M: Very well carbonated and the mouthfeel seems somewhat thin. Dry and acrid. Lack of alcohol.
O: All over the place. Complex, smokey, then very flawed and astringent. Don’t think I’d buy this again.

Pours a deep burnt umber color with a mocha colored finger of foam. The nose is big slightly burnt chocolate brownie, gooey cocoa, dark plum, blackstrap molasses and a touch of anise. The palate is spot on with the nose... big chocolate roasted, brown sugar, deep dark fruit, coffee bitterness, rich chewy mouthfeel, thick viscous with flavors rolling into a smooth rich finish.

Extremly smoked. Pitch black, tiny white ring clinging to the glass. The taste is extremely smoked and sweet. Medium heavy. All over very good!

beautiful appearance of dark brown colour and huge, very long lasting dense light brown head;aroma of milk chocolate, raisin, roasted malts and sugar, coffee and some spicy alcoholic notes; taste is - surprisingly - not as bitter as expected, great harmony of chocolate, malty sweetness, roasted brown sugar, raisin, dried fruits, hoppy bitterness and alcoholic warmth; perfect stout

A dark red brown basically black with a thick, lasting, caramel brown, frothy, super lacy head. Deep smell of roasted chocolate, deep caramel malt, smoke, nut, with a berry undertone, moca, and light coffee. Very inviting but fades. Frothy full oily body with soft carbonation. Salty chocolate overwhelms the taste at first. Sweet moca and malt and then moves to a smokey, ash, coffee, dark chocolate bitter finish. It saturates the mouth a bit. A bit of acidity rests throughout the taste. Refined, complex and incredibly malty. An excellent imperial stout.

On tap @ Radio Maria. Near black body with a thickly lacing light brown head. Roasty, sweet, and musty elements in the nose. On the palate: sweet dark fruits, mpleasantly yeasty, light coffee, low bitterness but nice and dry. Excellent.
