33cl bottle into glass. Lille. Appearance: black beer with little white head. Aroma: coffee vanilla, oak, chocolate. Taste: sweet, slightly bitter finish. Palate: full body, low carbonation, thick texture. Overall, excellent flavor and aroma. Good texture. Would have preferred a little more body, but this is a fantastic beer.

Bottle at a big tasting (Nörprovning 2015). Smell of coffee, dark malts and dark bitter chocolate. Similar taste with some roasted sugar. The coffee is very dominant.

Bottle thanks to BenH. Appearance - dark brown with a thin head. Nose - green coffee beans again. Taste - the same again, light chocolate note. Palate - medium bodied a bit sweet, finish a bit cloying. Overall - really one-dimensional coffee.

Thick dark brown, more lacing than head. Spicy roast, lean green. Initial taste is lean bitter, peppery and more green bean coffee action. Bitter finish. Sweet enough.

Pour dark brown, with a small tan head that doesn’t want to linger. Aroma is pretty roasted with plenty of ground coffee, faint chocolate, some smoke. The typical smooth verdoemenis is hitten in the back, with the heavy coffee dominating. Taste is faintly sweet, but is dominating bitter, from the middle throughout the aftertaste. Medium bodied, with a somewhat flat carbonation. I’m a sucker for verdoemenis, and this isn’t verdoemenis enough to me. Still tasty though.

Bottled Sep 13, 2013, rated Oct 27, 2014. Pours dark black with none to minimal brownish head. Aroma is definitely coffee, some chocolate, roasted malts, mocha, caramel... Smell reminded me a lot of tiramisù cake. Which is sweet in that typical mocha/coffee-like way. Pretty nice aroma, maybe a bit too coffee-ish though. But that’s a minor point. Taste is roasty and bitter with a clear note of the coffee and the present sugars and chcolate, giving it a lovely sweet bite within its bitterness. Beautiful roasty and bitter aftertaste which still beholds its coffee-ish kick and a slight warmishness in the very end. Truly, a great raw taste. Medium bodied, oily, yet a bit thinnish texture and average carbonation. This brew stunned me enormously. Tasty until the end with a clear balance within the spectre of bitterness. Great find.
