Dark opaque brown color, small brown head. Cold coffee, milk sugary, toasted malty, hints of vanilla. Full-bodied. Strong whisky flavor, vanilla, coffee, black burned malts. Strong Scotch presence.

Thanks to Mark from the Atlanta crew for sharing this one around. Pours an obsidian black with a small dark tan head. Nose is peaty whiskey, roasted malts, slight booze, and a a bit of smoke. Flavor is similar with the peat not as dominant as I thought it would be, but still very noticeable. Flavor also had elements of licorice, roasted malts, and smoke. Nice, enjoyable imperial stout. Medium to full in body with the De Molen stout smooth mouthfeel and lingering roasty smoke.

Hel & Verdoemenis tried three different versions tonight. Macallan was the best and that was a little surprising. 666 was more neutral than I thought and the regular version is just good. This one has the best stuff of the regular H&L and brings in the whisky too. Pretty good stuff.

33cl bottle. Pours almost black with small head. Aroma of coffee, roasty, chocolate, vanilla, oak, whisky. Taste is very nice bitter, sweet, chocolate, whisky. Very very nice brew!

Borefts Beer Festival 3. Opaque black beer, tidy pale tan head. Light palate. Semi sweet oaky malt with a trace of vanilla - not US style though - just a light touch. Mild whisky brings up the rear - brings more flavour than spirity presence. Really nicely joined up. Lovely.

Boreft Beer Festival 2011: Black with a small tan head. Aroma of caramel, chocolate and toffee. Sweet caramel and toffee malty flavour with whisky and vanilla blending perfectly into it.

33cl, as Hel & Verdoemenis ’MacAllan Barrel Aged’, new exclusive Dutch brew Anno 2011, from Brouwerij de Molen Bodegraven, complex Stout, roasted/alcoholic and slightly woody/spicy, not too heavy, very balanced, hazy, nearly no head, very good brew, yet expensive!

33 cl bottle shared by beastiefan2k. The pour is a black brown cordovan with a smallish off white head. Bottled on Sep 19th, 2011. The is Aroma dark roast malt, earthy, mineral, and a touch of the wood and whisky. The taste is light sweet malt, molasses and floral honey, roast, and finishes with earthy and sweet caramel. The finish has an interesting burnt soy, which was more pleasant than that sounds. The palate is heavy bodied, spirit like, mouth coating, and finishes dry showing some booze in the long finish. Scotch was well managed though, didn’t necessarily overpower. Nice one, thanks Eugene.

Pour opaque black, with no head at all.
Nice rich aroma of chocolate, roasted coffee, a bit dark fruits, and plenty of oak. The whiskey isn’t as dominating as the misto or turkey B.A.
Taste is nice and sweet, from All the chocolate, with a more dry and bitter end, from all the mocca.
Medium-full body, with very little carbonation.
